McDavid Scores in Return as Oilers Defeat Kraken
After serving a three-game suspension, Connor McDavid wasted no time making an impact, scoring a goal to help the Edmonton Oilers defeat the Seattle Kraken 4-2.
Mattias Janmark, Corey Perry, and Mattias Ekholm also found the net as Edmonton secured its seventh win in nine games. Backup goaltender Calvin Pickard stepped up with 26 saves, filling in for Stuart Skinner, who missed the game for the birth of his child.
Seattle got goals from Eeli Tolvanen and Vince Dunn but couldn’t overcome Edmonton’s attack. Joey Daccord made 27 saves on 30 shots, but the Kraken saw their three-game winning streak snapped.
Red Wings Stay Hot, Take Down Kings
Marco Kasper recorded two goals and an assist, leading the Detroit Red Wings to a 5-2 win over the Los Angeles Kings for their third straight victory.
Lucas Raymond added a goal and three assists, while Elmer Soderblom and Alex DeBrincat also scored. Cam Talbot made 24 saves for Detroit, which played without injured forwards Patrick Kane and J.T. Compher, as well as Vladimir Tarasenko (illness).
Kevin Fiala and Quinton Byfield netted goals for the struggling Kings, who have now gone 2-5-1 in their last eight games.

Flyers End Losing Streak Against Devils
Bobby Brink and Joel Farabee scored 28 seconds apart in the first period, giving the Philadelphia Flyers a 4-2 win over the New Jersey Devils.
Scott Laughton added a goal and an assist, Garnet Hathaway also scored, and goaltender Samuel Ersson made 31 saves as the Flyers ended a two-game skid.
Dougie Hamilton and Timo Meier provided the offense for New Jersey, which saw its two-game winning streak snapped. Jake Allen stopped 22 shots in the loss.
Canucks Get Back on Track with Win Over Blues
Conor Garland netted two goals as the Vancouver Canucks secured a 5-2 victory over the St. Louis Blues.
Tyler Myers and Pius Suter each had a goal and an assist, while Quinn Hughes picked up two assists. Goalie Kevin Lankinen made 24 saves and even notched an assist.
Dylan Holloway and Colton Parayko scored for the Blues, who dropped their third straight game. Jordan Binnington struggled, allowing three goals on 18 shots before getting pulled in favor of Joel Hofer, who stopped 10 of 11 shots.

Sharks Snap Losing Streak, Edge Penguins
Macklin Celebrini’s third-period goal proved to be the game-winner as the San Jose Sharks beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 2-1, ending a six-game losing streak.
Mikael Granlund also scored, and goalie Yaroslav Askarov made 29 saves as San Jose secured just its fourth win in the last 21 games.
Sidney Crosby scored Pittsburgh’s lone goal, but the Penguins dropped their third straight contest. Alex Nedeljkovic made 26 saves in the loss.
