Blue Jays Walk Off Yankees, 6-5

Carter Cunningham belted a two-strike, two-out walk-off home run to lift the Toronto Blue Jays’ split squad over the New York Yankees, 6-5, in Dunedin, Fla.

Matt Whatley tied the game with a solo shot in the eighth before Cunningham went deep off Yankees reliever Baron Stuart (0-1). Bo Bichette added a two-run homer for Toronto, while Kevin Gausman allowed three runs in three innings. Eric Pardinho (1-0) earned the win.

Ben Rice, Trent Grisham, and Brenny Escanio all homered for the Yankees.

Phillies Rally to Beat Blue Jays, 4-2

Keaton Anthony’s eighth-inning homer completed Philadelphia’s comeback win over Toronto in Clearwater, Fla.

J.T. Realmuto and Dylan Campbell added RBIs, while Jordan Romano (1-0) pitched in relief for the Phillies. Aaron Nola struck out five in his 4 2/3-inning start.

Rainer Nunez and Davis Schneider homered for the Blue Jays. Zach Pop (1-1) took the loss.

Daz Cameron went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and three runs to power Baltimore past Boston’s split squad in Fort Myers, Fla.

Marcelo Mayer’s two-run single in the sixth inning lifted Boston past Atlanta in North Port, Fla.

Adam Ottavino (1-0) pitched 1 2/3 innings in relief. Braves starter Spencer Strider struck out six in 2 2/3 perfect innings.

Pirates Top Twins, 4-2

Ke’Bryan Hayes, Joey Bart, and Bryan Reynolds homered as Pittsburgh’s split squad defeated Minnesota in Bradenton, Fla.

Paul Skenes (2-0) struck out seven in 4 2/3 innings. Mike Ford and Matt Wallner homered for the Twins.

Tigers Outslug Pirates, 9-6

Kevin McGonigle’s go-ahead single helped Detroit defeat Pittsburgh in Lakeland, Fla.

Gleyber Torres and Colt Keith each had two-run doubles for Detroit. Tommy Kahnle (1-0) earned the win.

Cardinals Defeat Nationals, 6-2

Jose Fermin hit a pair of doubles and drove in four runs as St. Louis beat Washington in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Victor Scott II added a home run for the Cardinals, and Erick Fedde (1-2) threw five strong innings.

Mets Hold Off Marlins, 6-5

Alexander Canario’s two-run homer in the ninth proved crucial as New York edged Miami in Jupiter, Fla.

Justin Hagenman (1-0) earned the win, while Jesus Hernandez’s ground-rule double capped a three-run ninth for Miami.

Rays Shut Out Mets, 2-0

Mike Vasil led a combined three-hitter as Tampa Bay blanked New York in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
