U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship (Houston)
Top-seeded Tommy Paul continued his strong form on clay, powering past qualifier Colton Smith 6-1, 7-6 (1) to reach the semifinals in Houston. Paul, ranked No. 13 in the world, won 91.7 percent of his first-serve points and 80.4 percent of service points overall. He hit 23 winners and kept errors low, while Smith tallied 31 unforced mistakes.
Paul will next face fellow American Jenson Brooksby, who rallied from a set down to defeat Aleksandar Kovacevic 2-6, 6-3, 6-4. No. 4 seed Brandon Nakashima also advanced with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Christopher Eubanks.
All quarterfinalists were American, and the last match between No. 2 Frances Tiafoe and No. 5 Alex Michelsen was suspended due to rain, with plans to resume later.
Grand Prix Hassan II (Marrakech)
Top-seeded Tallon Griekspoor of the Netherlands booked a semifinal berth with a commanding 6-3, 6-4 win over No. 8 Mattia Bellucci. Griekspoor hit five aces and saved all four break points he faced.
He will face Poland’s Kamil Majchrzak, who continued his impressive run from qualifying with a 7-5, 6-4 upset of third seed Alexandre Muller.
On the bottom half of the draw, Spain’s Roberto Carballes Baena (No. 5) outlasted Portugal’s Nuno Borges 6-4, 6-4, while Italy’s Luciano Darderi (No. 7) advanced past Czech Vit Kopriva 7-5, 6-2.

Tiriac Open (Bucharest)
Top seed Sebastian Baez survived a test from fellow Argentine Francisco Comesana, pulling away in the third set for a 7-6 (5), 2-6, 6-1 win. Baez converted four of seven break opportunities and saved seven of 10 on his own serve.
In the semifinals, Baez will face Hungary’s Marton Fucsovics, who eased past Australia’s Christopher O’Connell 6-0, 6-4.
The other semifinal will feature Bosnia’s Damir Dzumhur, who advanced after No. 2 Pedro Martinez Portero retired trailing 6-1, 2-0. Dzumhur will take on third seed Flavio Cobolli of Italy, a 7-6 (5), 6-4 winner over Filip Misolic.
