The win pushes Angel City to 2-0-2 (8 points) and extends their unbeaten streak to four. Hodge and Tiernan both delivered long-range beauties from outside the box, while Thompson’s solo effort down the sideline showcased her elite speed and composure.
Houston’s only response came via Barbara Olivieri’s tap-in in the 61st minute. Jane Campbell stopped three shots for the Dash, now 1-2-1 on the season.

Barbra Banda kept her scoring touch alive with a 41st-minute tap-in, leading the Orlando Pride to a gritty 1-0 win over Seattle Reign FC. Orlando improves to 4-0-0 (12 points), with an eye-popping 11-1 goal differential so far this year.
Summer Yates set up the goal with a perfectly placed cross, and goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse was sharp once again, stopping five shots to preserve the shutout.
Seattle dropped their second straight and now sits at 1-2-1. Claudia Dickey made three saves in the loss.
Washington Spirit Top Louisville 2-0 Behind Santos & Hatch
The Washington Spirit earned their second straight victory with a 2-0 win over Racing Louisville FC, moving to 3-1-0 (9 points) on the season.
Leicy Santos opened the scoring with a stunning free kick that found the top corner in the 58th minute, and Ashley Hatch added the insurance goal 17 minutes later on a clean header. Aubrey Kingsbury made four saves in net.
Louisville (1-2-1) struggled to capitalize on chances, with goalkeeper Katie Lund making four stops to keep things respectable.
