MLB roundup: Phillies hang on for 11-10 win over Marlins

Phillies 11, Marlins 10

Bryson Stott had three hits and three RBIs, while Trea Turner collected four hits and two RBIs as the Phillies barely held on to defeat Miami. Johan Rojas added three hits and scored three times.

The Marlins stormed back with six runs in the ninth off closer Jordan Romano, highlighted by a three-run homer from Dane Myers and a two-run blast by Liam Hicks. Jose Alvarado earned his fifth save after recording the final out.

Rangers 4, Dodgers 3

Adolis Garcia hit a two-run walk-off homer to lift Texas past Los Angeles in Arlington. It was Garcia’s fourth homer of the season. Shohei Ohtani missed his second straight game on the paternity list.

Rays 10, Yankees 8 (10 innings)

Jonathan Aranda belted a two-run walk-off homer as Tampa Bay rallied with four runs in the ninth to snap New York’s five-game win streak. Yandy Diaz added three hits and two RBIs.

Giants 3, Angels 2

Matt Chapman homered and drove in two as San Francisco edged the Angels. Mike Trout hit two solo homers, giving him eight on the season and 28 career multi-homer games.

Tigers 3, Royals 1

Spencer Torkelson’s three-run blast backed Casey Mize’s seven-inning gem as Detroit handed Kansas City its sixth consecutive loss.

Braves 4, Twins 3

Alex Verdugo had four hits and the go-ahead RBI as Atlanta extended its dominance over Minnesota to 10 straight wins.

Athletics 3, Brewers 1

Luis Severino earned his first win of the season with eight strong innings, and Mason Miller notched his sixth save by topping 102 mph on the final pitch.

Cubs 6, Diamondbacks 2

Seiya Suzuki and Michael Busch hit back-to-back home runs in a four-run second inning to lead the Cubs past Arizona.

Mariners 8, Blue Jays 4 (12 innings)

Rowdy Tellez delivered a grand slam in the 12th as Seattle took down Toronto. Ben Williamson hit his first career homer.

Mets 3, Cardinals 0

Kodai Senga pitched 5 2/3 scoreless innings and Pete Alonso knocked in two runs to carry New York to its fifth win in six games.

Guardians 3, Pirates 0

Kyle Manzardo and Steven Kwan powered Cleveland to a shutout win over Pittsburgh. Ben Lively earned the win in a combined six-hit shutout.

Orioles 9, Reds 5

Ramon Laureano hit two homers off the bench and Cedric Mullins added a blast as Baltimore overcame two early deficits.

Red Sox 4, White Sox 3 (10 innings)

Triston Casas’ RBI single in the 10th lifted Boston past Chicago for its fourth consecutive win.

Nationals 12, Rockies 11

MacKenzie Gore struck out 13 and Dylan Crews homered twice as Washington outslugged Colorado in Denver.

Astros 3, Padres 2

Christian Walker hit a two-run homer and Isaac Paredes delivered the go-ahead single in the seventh to give Houston back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
