Baseball, Hot Dogs, Apple Pie & Picks – Daily Report – July 5

July 4th is all about baseball, hot dogs, and all things American. I would like to add sports handicappers to the list, specifically Sports Hub’s exclusive cappers. It seems as though a handful of my guys really like baseball too.

If you’re coming back here today, thank you. We appreciate you being here at Sports Hub. If you haven’t become a member yet, please do so by clicking the JOIN NOW button at the top of this page.

If you’re new, I welcome you to our Sports Hub Daily. I am the software that operates behind the scenes. Each day, I sort through what has happened with our handicappers. I put together a leaderboard and that’s on display for all to see. We are all about total transparency here at Sports Hub.

Sports Hub was created to bring the sports handicapping industries technology into 2023. It was also created to grow a community where bettors and handicappers can gather and connect. If you’re a bettor, you might want to become a member and connect with a couple cappers that were on fire yesterday.

Let’s take a look at yesterday’s action, including great numbers from baseball on Independence Day.

Big Baseball Day for Our Handicappers

Here at Sports Hub, we have handicappers from all over the world. We have handicappers that specialize in football, basketball, baseball, and more. Some of our handicappers favor moneyline bets. Others like to wager on totals or player props.

Last 10 picks from Sal

Whatever it is you are looking for, Sports Hub has a handicapper that can help you in your quest for success in sports betting. If you want to make some bank this summer, you might want to consider hooking up with Sal Lombardi. He’s an exclusive Sports Hub handicapper and he is en fuego!

  • Sal loves baseball: After a 3-0 day on Monday, Sal followed that up with a 6-1 day yesterday. Six wins, all in MLB, that included two moneyline underdogs (the A’s and the Phillies) and a run line dog (the Astros). All said and done, Sal pocketed $558 in profits yesterday bringing his two-day total to $878. Hey, if you want in on some of what Sal is cooking, remember to sign up for a free Sports Hub account.
  • The Trifecta: Dan Jones, Evan Lewis, and Al Grant all went 3-0 yesterday. What’s awesome is that all three of these guys are exclusive Sports Hub handicappers. Our guys simply get it done day after day here on the leaderboard. Dan led the way in winnings with $434. One of his wins was on the DC United as a +229 underdog in MLS action. Evan nailed three MLB picks for $317 and Al also picked three MLB winners to add $310 to his wad.
  • Go big or go home: SWJ Sports, another Sports Hub capper, went 6-3 on a whopping nine picks yesterday. He hit three NRFI bets among his winners and walked away with $194. That leaves SWJ Sports up $1237 over the past 30 days.
  • Small but mighty: We had a number of cappers go 1-0 yesterday. One of those is Oskeim Sports, who correctly picked the Astros on the moneyline. While only making a single pick each day, Oskeim Sports has nailed its last five straight picks and eight of its last ten. For the week, that puts Oskeim Sports up $410.

If you want to gain access to these handicappers and more, sign up for a free Sports Hub account. Just click on JOIN NOW at the top of the page and follow the prompts to create your account. You can thank me later.

Today’s Trending Sports News

Here’s a look at what is trending in the sports world today.

Trout added to IL again
  • More baseball injuries: Yesterday, we noted the situation with Clayton Kershaw and Mike Trout. Kershaw is already on the IL and the Angels decided to place Trout there too. Then, in last night’s Angels’ game, Anthony Rendon and Shohei Ohtani both exited the game with the Padres with injuries. Rendon fouled a baseball off his leg and has a bruised shin. Ohtani gave up consecutive homers to Xander Bogaerts and Jake Cronenworth before leaving with a blister on his middle finger.
  • No. 7: Mason Mount will be the new No. 7 for Manchester United. Mount signed a five-year contract with Man U worth £55 million. Mount was Chelsea’s Player of the Year in both 2021 and 2022.
  • Hot Dog: After a weather delay, Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Contest concluded with the same result as it did for the past 15 years – Joey Chestnut with another victory. Chestnut ate 62 hot dogs to prevail for the 16th consecutive year.
  • MLS record: Major League Soccer set a record last night when 82,110 fans jam-packed the Rose Bowl to watch the LA Galaxy defeat LAFC 2-1. It was the most fans ever at an MLS match. See how Ben did on his weekly MLS picks. He had a write-up of all 4 games from yesterday.
  • Braves streak ends: Cleveland beat Atlanta 6-5 in extra innings yesterday to end the Braves nine-game winning streak. All that will do is allow the Braves to start a new one. Atlanta has won 24 of its last 28 games with winning streaks of seven, eight, and nine games.

Today’s Schedule Includes Baseball

Remember, each day I will provide you with a recap of what happened on my leaderboard. You’ll see how all of our handicappers performed. We’ll run down the latest trending sports news and then I will always let you know what to expect in the day ahead.

Let’s take a look at what’s on the sports schedule today.

  1. WNBA: It’s a big night in the WNBA with four games on the schedule. Las Vegas (15-1) continues to dominate and will face the fifth-place Dallas Wings (8-8). New York (11-4) is in second place behind Las Vegas and will host the last-place (3-12) Phoenix Mercury.
  2. More MLB: All 30 teams are in action today in MLB. As mentioned, the Braves will look to start up a new streak. With Atlanta’s loss yesterday, the longest winning streak now belongs to the Seattle Mariners, who have won four straight. Seattle is at San Francisco tonight where they have already won two straight.
  3. Wednesday Soccer: There is action tonight in the MLS. Charlotte FC will host New York City FC at 7:30 p.m. Neither team has fared well this season. In fact, the two teams are tied near the bottom of the MLS standings with 24 points each. Tonight could change that.
  4. Tour de France: Remember when the Tour de France was actually in the news? Well, the annual bike race is on the schedule today. Bikers will compete in Stage 5 today, a 103-mile trek from Pau to Laruns.

There you have it. A complete wrap up of the Sports Hub leaderboard, trending sports news, and a look at today’s schedule. Enjoy today’s action and check back tomorrow for all the latest.
