That means that Sports Hub will shift into high gear (it’s not like we’re in low gear now, but you know what I mean) and bring you the absolute best picks and information to get you through the season.

College Gameday & Football Picks
Every college gameday, Sports Hub will have the best college football picks in the industry. As a member of Sports Hub, you’ll have access to the top handicappers in the business. You’ll see that in a moment when we look at yesterday’s leaderboard. We provide bettors the opportunity to connect with college football handicappers that can help them win more bets and more cash.
It’s super easy to find our football picks. From our home page, you go to the Pick Center. Hover over the Pick Center to access the drop-down menu. Click on Football Picks and you are taken to the picks page. You can do this before every college gameday to find the best picks on the top games that week. Our cappers have picks for the NFL and CFL as well as college football.
You’ll find all of our NFL, CFL, and college football picks here on the Football Picks page. There is also a frequently asked questions section at the bottom of the page. This is especially helpful for newer bettors. We gathered a list of the most common questions that we get about betting on football. We compiled those and put them here for easy access.
Sal Is Back to Top the Leaderboard
Remember Sal Lombardi? Yeah, well he’s back as are a number of Sports Hub exclusive cappers who just keep on doing what they do best – winning! Even my cousin Computer Picks got in on the action yesterday with two winners. I guess we all know who’s buying when we’re at the bar watching that first college gameday show of the season.
You know it’s a great day on my leaderboard when no one in the top-50 lost money. That’s right. The top 49 on the list all made something. No. 49 TonyK 3G Sports went 2-0 and made $85. Rob Veno checked in at No. 50 and went 1-1 to break even. Keep in mind, these guys are human (well, my boy Computer Picks isn’t exactly human) and they don’t win all the time. But, they do win a lot!
See for yourself. Here’s the best from yesterday.
- Sal is back: Sal Lombardi topped the leaderboard with 5 winners out of 6 picks. Sal loves some baseball and nailed 5 of 6 MLB picks to win $330. After a brief hiatus, Sal is back and heating up. He’s up $825 over the last 30 days.
- Robert Ferguson: Right behind Sal was Robert who went 3-0 on his MLB picks and won $310. Robert is another of the many experts we have here at Sports Hub. He’s been hot over the last three days with winnings of $580. Check him out during hockey season. He’s out 17th-ranked NHL handicapper.
- Joe Berra: Rounding out the top-3 is Smokin’ Joe Berra. Like Sal, Joe took a short break but came back like he never missed a beat. Joe went 3-0 yesterday, all MLB moneyline picks. Joe continues to prepare for the NFL and college football seasons and is looking forward to college gameday.
- Computer Picks: I have to mention my guy Computer Picks. At the very least, it’s worth another beer when we’re watching that college gameday! CP went 2-0 yesterday, nailing two totals bets – CFL and WNBA. With $200, Computer Picks is now up $570 over the last seven days. That means more beer for us!
College Gameday Will Be Trending Soon Enough
Just three short weekends and it will be time for some college gameday. August 26th marks the kickoff of Week 0 and the college football season. Until then, we are forced to care about things like conference realignment. There is a big shakeup happening in college football and it may mark the death of one of the Power 5 conferences.
As is customary, I provide you with what is trending in the sports world. If you want to succeed as a bettor, you have to stay on top of what is happening. The simplest event could have a major impact on a bet you were planning on making. Don’t bet without information and Sports Hub is your one-stop resource for the best insider information in the industry.
Let’s look at what’s trending today.
- Pac-12 is dead: This conference realignment is sure to be a hot topic on the very first College Gameday show of the year. Utah and Arizona State were voted into the Big 12 following Arizona. With Oregon and Washington headed to the Big Ten along with USC and UCLA, there isn’t much left of the Pac-12.

- Royals, again?: Remember when the Royals won five in a row? Yeah, well now it’s up to seven. After sweeping the Twins and the Mets, Kansas City took Game 1 of its weekend series with the Philadelphia Phillies 7-5. They play again tonight. The Royals are 21 games out of first place in the AL Central. If they win all of their remaining 51 games, they could win the division. So, you’re saying there’s a chance!
- Hall of Fame: The Pro Football Hall of Fame gets some new members today. The 2023 enshrinement ceremony begins at noon today at the Hall in Canton, Ohio. CBs Darrelle Revis and Ronde Barber lead a class that includes OT Joe Thomas and LB Zach Thomas.
- Paul brothers: On today’s schedule, you’ll see that Jake Paul is boxing tonight. His brother, Logan, is also in action in a different ring. He will face Ricochet in a WWE match at Ford Field in Detroit.
- Premier League: The Premier League is heating up as the 2023-24 season gets ready to start. It all starts next Friday when Burnley faces defending champion Manchester City in the first match of the season. If there was a college gameday type show for the EPL, it would be a huge hit next Friday.
Saturday’s Sports Schedule Is Full
Brace yourself. This list is long. There is no college gameday yet, but it’s coming soon. What there is today is a ton of sports activity all around the world. There is golf and tennis. The women’s World Cup continues. We get some football from the Great White North and there is a lot going on in the world of combat sports tonight.
Let’s check out what’s on the schedule today.
- Round of 16: The women’s World Cup’s quarter finals are underway. The Round of 16 began play today. Spain beat Switzerland and Japan topped Norway. Team USA plays Sweden on Sunday. Check out our Round of 16 picks!
- CFL: After Toronto was knocked from the ranks of the unbeaten last night, Montreal travels to Hamilton as Week 9 action continues in the CFL.
- Taurasi back: Seattle travels to Phoenix in the only WNBA game of the day. It will be the first game for Diana Taurasi since becoming the first player in league history to surpass the 10,000-point mark.
- Wyndham: Russell Henley maintains a one-shot lead over Billy Horschel in the Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. Round 3 is today.
- PLL: What would an August Saturday be without professional lacrosse? Well, it wouldn’t be as much fun. Today, the 5-1 Archers take on the 2-4 Atlas in Game 1. The Whipsnakes (2-4) face the Chrome (1-5) in the second game.
- UFC Fight Night: Cory Sandhagen takes on Rob Font in the main event tonight.
- Ready 4 War: Yes, there is even some boxing for you tonight. Jake Paul will take on Nate Diaz at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
- Don’t forget: Look at all this action on a Saturday in August! Don’t forget that there are 15 MLB games today too.
Wow! As we wait for the inaugural college gameday, there are plenty of sporting events happening today to tide us over. Check back tomorrow as we take a look at a Sunday that should offer up another full schedule. Until then…
