I wonder what Scott Hansen is doing today? You know he has to start prepping for the RedZone just like NFL players do. Scott has to be stretching that bladder, figuring out new ways to “fight the urge”.

We’re so excited for the 2023 NFL season! We won’t forget about NCAAF though.

NFL Betting in 2023 Predicted to Break All Records

As the legalization of sports betting has swept across the United States, the annual sports betting handle in the USA continues a very rapid rise. American Gaming Association (AGA) reports show the NFL as the frontrunner. Their NFL betting reports show a handle of just under $8 billion in 2018, increasing to $21.5 billion in 2020, with a massive increase in 2022 up to $93.2 billion.

There is estimated to be another massive rise in 2023, with those numbers shattering any existing sports gaming records. Sports gaming experts estimate that up to 50 billion dollars could be wagered on this year’s Super Bowl alone.

With this growth comes an increase in NFL betting markets available, allowing fans to bet on anything and everything. These options create an even bigger handle, while live, in-play wagering is taking center stage, further blowing up NFL betting.

Preseason NFL Football – What To Take From It

How much time did you spend watching preseason NFL football yesterday? I know our handicappers were glued to the screen all day. There was a lot going on, and a lot to take away from it.

The problem is knowing what’s real and what’s a fugazi. Many top stars didn’t even take the field yesterday, while others got some serious reps in. For us, we feel it’s better to look at the big picture that the NFL preseason frames. Sure, there are camp battles going on at certain positions for most teams, but we take the big picture into account more.

For example, when teams that are supposed to look good, look good. On the flipside, if a team is supposed to look bad, and looks bad, those are things to take from the preseason.

For example, yesterday the Chiefs & Dolphins looked good, while the Texans & Cardinals looked bad. If you’re considering betting NFL futures markets or looking ahead to Week 1 lines, these are the things to consider.

Individual Efforts Can Help Predict their NFL Future

I know we just said we don’t take a lot of stock in individual efforts, and rather look at the big picture. But sometimes you gotta pay attention to what’s in front of you.

If a squad that was projected to have trouble scoring can’t move the ball in preseason, chances are they will struggle when the regular season starts. Does Russell Wilson running for more yards than he threw raise some eyebrows? There’s been a couple top rookies prospects that have shown they’re more than capable. Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Bijan Robinson to name a couple.

These are things you want to monitor closely. Put it on your “watch list” sort of thing. See what transpires in NFL preseason Week 3, and the final roster moves that teams make. You can answer a lot of questions.

One thing of note is the Jacksonville Jaguars run game. They have ran down the throats of their 2 opponents so far, the Cowboys (Week 1) and Lions (Week 2). Yesterday, Tank Bigsby ran for 70 on 13 carries, while D’Ernest Johnson went 6 for 36 with 2 TDs. Both had a run of 17 yards. Whether or not they can keep this up is a big question mark with a bottom ranked NFL offensive line. A quick look at their transactions show 7 new offensive linemen on their roster.

Trending Sports – New, Scores, Highlights, Rumors

What an awesome past 24 hours we’ve had in the world of sports. Not only will our trending sports section keep you informed, we’ll also keep it entertaining. Just wait til the NFL season starts!

Here’s what fans have been following:

  • Spain wins Women’s World Cup: A goal by Olga Carmona at the 29th minute to allow Spain to beat England 1-0 in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Final. The victory marks the first ever Women’s World Cup victory for Spain.
  • NFL Preseason: Saturday action brought a lot of storylines. Some included great stats lines and terrible stat lines. Injuries took centerstage in some NFL games, with highly touted rookies featured in others. We can’t wait to bring you winning NFL picks, so be sure to sign up to become a SportsHub member today.
  • Blossoming MLB Rivalry: Houston, we have a problem. Things heated up in Houston last night as division rival Mariners won their 3rd in a row vs. the Astros, making it 7 wins in their last 8. After Framber Valdez beaned Jose Caballero following a homerun in the 5th inning by Dylan Moore, the benches cleared. Superstar Jose Rodriguez stepped up, holding Framber from getting close to Caballero. Jose can do it all.
  • JRod does it all: Not only did Jose Rodriguez apply a bearhug on Framber to stop anything further from happening after the benches cleared. He also went 4 for 6, scoring two runs and stealing his 33rd base of the season. JRod’s 4 hits gave him 17 hits in his last 4 games. His 17 hits broke an MLB record for the most in a 4-game span.
  • Yankees lose again: After getting booed in the Bronx on Friday, the Red Sox did it again on Saturday. Boston went out to a 4-0 lead in the 4th, holding on for an 8-1 victory. Does Boone get to finish out the season?
  • Homa betting distraction: When a fan yelled in his backswing on the green at the BMW Championship, Max Homa believed a bet had something to do with it. The fans were cheering for Chris Kirk to miss his putt, saying he had $3 on Homa to make his. Many athletes have been considering what impact live betting will have on sports.

Not a NFL Football Sunday – But Schedule is Still Loaded

Thinking how close we are to having a NFL Sunday makes us as giddy as Glenn Quagmire at a strip club. Our NFL handicappers are getting dialed, and we can’t wait to help y’all win more bets this NFL season. There’s a ton of action today though.

Where will our betting budget be going today?

  1. MLB peacocks: The aforementioned rivalry gets the early Peacock game today, a 1PM ET start. Two young guns take the mound, with Emerson Hancock and Hunter Brown as probables. With 5 wins in a row, both the Mariners and Astros now find themselves in Wild Card spots.
  2. BMW Championship: The PGA FedEx Cup Playoffs continue today, with golfers looking for their shot to win $18M for 1st place. Matt Fitzpatrick and Scottie Scheffler will be in the final pairing, sharing the lead at -11. There are some big names in the top 10 behind them, and we’ll most likely see one of them make a move.
  3. NFL preseason: The NFL Week 2 preseason schedule continues with the Chargers hosting the Saints at 7PM ET on the NFL Network. Both teams won in Week 1 of the NFL preseason and will look to solidify their rosters leading up to NFL kickoff.
  1. Premier League: Sunday’s Premier League schedule is wrapping up as West Ham United and Chelsea are locked up at 1-1 at halftime. Matchday 2 closes out with Crystal Palace vs. Arsenal tomorrow.
  2. LLWS: The Little League World Series continues today through next weekend. Panama defeated Cuba 3-2 early, with Metro and Mid-Atlantic currently on the field. Today’s LLBWS schedule has two more games on the slate.

Well there you go. There’s everything you need to know from the Sports Hub handicapper software and in and around the world of sports. Be sure to stop back tomorrow with a wrap-up of yesterday’s action and a look at the week ahead.
