This week’s latest betting trend indicates that bettors should target Ligue 1 unders. The European soccer schedule is incredibly busy this time of year so now is the time to make sure you are keeping up to date with all the key statistics and betting trends.

European Soccer Weekly Review – Ligue 1 Unders

After compiling the results and key stats from Europe’s top soccer leagues, it’s now time to find out the key betting trends. Essentially, we need to interpret the data and use it to make our selections.

Sharps would have followed the over 2.5 goals La Liga trend last week and 70% of Spanish top-flight matches landed in that market in the last round of games. That will be another hot market this week.

However, I have also selected another key trend following the last round of results. Last week’s overall and larger data set has helped in this selection and has been combined with the most recent data as well. As a result, Ligue 1 unders is another good market to target.

Euro Soccer Betting Trends – Over 2.5 La Liga Goals Is Trending

I highlighted last week in my weekly review that sharps would be selecting La Liga overs. They have been hitting high percentages in recent weeks, with at least 50% of games from La Liga hitting over 2.5 goals every week since starting the review.

We have now seen back-to-back weeks where at least 70% of La Liga matches have had over 2.5 goals. That is not a coincidence so it looks like it will be a good idea to target La Liga overs once again.

Let’s take a look at some of the top teams that bettors should be targeting when it comes to La Liga overs:

  • Almeria and Girona have seen 75% of their games have over 2.5 goals
  • Atletico Madrid have hit the over 2.5 goals market 71% of the time
  • Real Madrid, Granada, Barcelona, Valencia, Villarreal and Getafe have had 62% of their matches see over 2.5 goals

However, not all teams in La Liga are susceptible to high-scoring games. Here are some teams that perhaps you should avoid in terms of La Liga overs:

  • Las Palmas and Alaves have had just 12% of their matches see over 2.5 goals
  • Rayo Vallecano have had just 25% of their games have over 2.5 goals
  • Osasuna, Cadiz and Celta Vigo have landed over 2.5 goals in only 38% of their matches

Ligue 1 Unders

Now that we have a larger volume of data to analyze, it is becoming easier to identify the best betting trends. It seems clear that Ligue 1 unders should be targeted, as well as Serie A.

Total goals across Europe’s top leagues so far:

  • Ligue 1 (175 – average 9.72 per team)
  • Bundesliga (192 – average 10.67 per team)
  • Serie A (180 – 9 average per team)
  • La Liga (229 – 11.45 average per team)

Ligue 1 has seen the least total goals go in across its matches so far this season, with an average of just 9.72 goals per team. Serie A is also a good league for unders since their teams are averaging just nine.

Just 44.44% of Ligue 1 games from the latest round of matches saw over 2.5 goals which is the lowest out of the rest of Europe’s top leagues. Just 22.22% of games saw both teams score as well.

Here are some teams to think about when selecting Ligue 1 Unders:

  • Lyon are the lowest scorers in Ligue 1 (3)
  • Brest, Nice, Strasbourg, Toulouse, Marseille, Metz, Lens, Clermont and Lyon have all failed to hit double figures yet in terms of goals
  • Nice have seen only 14% of their games have over 2.5 goals
  • Lille, Lyon, Brest, Clermont and Strasbourg have all seen less than 50% of their outings have over 2.5 goals

European Soccer Weekly Review – Select Ligue 1 Unders

There are plenty of profitable markets that bettors should be targeting when it comes to European soccer. Each week I have been highlighting the best ones and this week indicated that Ligue 1 unders will be profitable.

Just because I have not mentioned a particular market this week, does not mean it should be discarded. For example, Bundesliga overs are still hitting very frequently so it would be a good idea to continue monitoring those as well.

Nevertheless, Ligue 1 unders has been the key theme this week and it looks set to be a good market to look at. The French top-flight has consistently ranked low in terms of goals and the overs market. Let’s see if those selections will make it in my Euro soccer picks article later in the week. Stay tuned!
