I have identified Ligue 1 Matchday 8 picks as a profitable source. Welcome back to my weekly Euro soccer top leagues picks article where I take you through my top selections for the weekend’s soccer.

Euro Soccer Top Leagues – Recap 

Premier League 

The Premier League’s Monday Night Football fixture made it in my picks last week as we had a west London derby on show between Fulham and Chelsea. I selected the match to have under 2.5 goals. That came in as the Blues defeated the hosts 2-0. 

League leaders Manchester City are still at the top of the table but they finally suffered a defeat last weekend away to Wolverhampton Wanderers. That result has made Sunday’s match-up with Arsenal even more enticing. 

Ligue 1

I didn’t select any Ligue 1 picks last week but they will certainly feature this time around. Keep reading to find out my Ligue 1 Matchday 8 picks below. Monaco have returned to the top of the pile as they defeated Marseille 3-2 last Saturday. 

Not many teams are showing much consistency in the French top-flight this term so it seems like a good idea to stay away from the money line on the whole. Lyon and Clermont, though, continue to struggle at the foot of the table. 

La Liga 

In spite of Real Madrid’s loss away to Atletico Madrid, they have bounced back since and continue to sit atop the La Liga standings. They recorded an emphatic 3-0 win away to a Girona side who have been excellent this season. 

I had over 3 goals in that match so my selection was pushed which isn’t the worst outcome. Since a host of my other picks were able to land, I was still able to turn a nice profit. Let’s see if more La Liga picks make it in my article here. 

Bundesliga

Bundesliga Matchday 6 picks were the key theme of last week’s picks article. I managed to hit three out of four of my selections to earn some nice profits. If you have been following my Euro soccer weekly reviews and picks, you’ll know that the German top-flight is a trusted source to land bets. 

Serie A 

Finally, we finish off the recap with Serie A. I didn’t choose any picks from Italy last week but I have had success with Serie A selections in the past. 

Inter and Milan continue to sit at the top of the table and both teams have looked superb to start the season. However, Napoli seem to be turning things around too so they could be another team to target. 

Euro Soccer Top Leagues – Ligue 1 Matchday 8 Picks

Each week, I select a focus for my Euro soccer picks. I always use my Euro soccer weekly review to help identify which league will be the best to target. 

This week’s review highlighted a key trend of Ligue 1 unders. Therefore, I will be selecting a couple of Ligue 1 Matchday 8 picks this week. Previously, both Bundesliga and La Liga overs have been incredibly successful too. 

I have also found three selections for my alternative euro soccer leagues picks. Which leagues will feature in those? Find out below. 

Ligue 1 Matchday 8 Picks – Metz vs Nice Prediction

Still yet to lose a league game so far this term, Nice travel to Metz on Saturday as the two sides clash at Stade Saint-Symphorien. I have researched the game and it looks to be a solid selection for my Ligue 1 Matchday 8 picks. Here are the current odds for the match: 

• Metz (+328)
• Draw (+255)
• Nice (-131)

Despite it looking likely that Nice will pick up the three points at the weekend in this one, the money line odds look too short. Therefore, I will be utilizing an alternative market. 

Both Nice and Metz have failed to hit double figures in terms of goals this season and the former have the lowest over 2.5 goals percentage in the league (14%). 

The visitors drew 0-0 at home to Brest last time out, whilst the hosts suffered a 3-0 defeat away to Toulouse. Metz have scored just one goal across their last three outings.

Ligue 1 Matchday 8 Picks – Reims vs Monaco Prediction

It’s Reims vs Monaco on Saturday evening as two of Ligue 1’s top two teams so far this term go head-to-head at Stade Auguste-Delaune. The match looks set to offer some good odds for my Ligue 1 Matchday 8 picks. Below are the current odds for the game: 

• Reims (+160)
• Draw (+255)
• Monaco (+142)

As the money line odds suggest, this could be a close game. Just one point separates the two sides in the table and we are set for an enthralling clash this weekend. 

Reims have won their last two successive games heading into this one, whilst Monaco got back to winning ways last time out with a 3-2 victory over Marseille. 

Although Ligue 1 unders has been a common trend, it may not be suitable for every single match-up. There are always outliers in betting trends so you need to carefully analyze each game before making your pick.

Alternative Euro Soccer Top League Picks 

Ligue 1 Matchday 8 picks were the focus for my selections this week. Nevertheless, I am only making two selections from that league. After looking at the fixtures, I am not too confident in finding a third game so will be avoiding a third pick for my Ligue 1 Matchday 8 picks. 

As a result, I will add an extra pick for my alternative Euro soccer top league picks this week. There is no need to force bets or selections for the sake of it. If you think there is better value elsewhere, go with that selection. 

Below I have made picks for both Serie A and La Liga. However, as you all know, the Bundesliga is a great league to target in terms of overs. Sharps will continue to look to the German top-flight in this regard. 

Serie A Matchday 8 Picks – Monza vs Salernitana Prediction 

We head to Italy for this pick as Monza take on Salernitana at Brianteo on Sunday in Serie A action. Here are the latest odds for the encounter: 

• Monza (-147)
• Draw (+272)
• Salernitana (+367)

In this week’s Euro soccer review, I saw that Serie A had the least goals on average per team out of the rest of the top five leagues. 

Just one of Monza’s seven league games have seen over 2.5 goals this season, whilst Salernitana have hit just 43% in that market this term. 

The hosts have averaged less than a goal per game this season, scoring just five in seven outings. The visitors have scored a total of only four goals this term. Therefore, under 2.5 goals seems like a great selection this week.

La Liga Matchday 9 Picks – Atletico Madrid vs Real Sociedad Prediction 

We are set for a fantastic La Liga match-up on Sunday as Atletico Madrid play host to Real Sociedad at Metropolitano Stadium. Check out the most recent odds for the match: 

• Atletico Madrid (-119)
• Draw (+235)
• Real Sociedad (+320)

Atletico and Sociedad have been in excellent form of late and have each won their last four successive matches. They both won midweek too in the Champions League, with the former defeating Feyenoord 3-2 and the latter picking up a 2-0 win away to RB Salzburg. 

Due to the excellent recent form that both teams have displayed, I will once again be avoiding the money line. The odds for the hosts to win are too short and it looks set to be a tough match to call.

Bundesliga Matchday 7 Picks – Borussia Mönchengladbach vs Mainz Prediction 

The final selections for this week’s Euro soccer top leagues picks comes from the Borussia Mönchengladbach vs Mainz fixture. Let’s take a look at the odds for the match: 

• Mönchengladbach (+101)
• Draw (+265)
• Mainz (+225)

It has been a slow start for the hosts so far this term since they have picked up just five points from their opening six games. They found their first victory of the season last time out as they defeated Bochum 3-1 on the road. 

Mainz have been abysmal thus far and have recorded just a single point and are the current basement-dwellers in the division.
