UEFA EURO 2024 QUALIFYING KEY STATS
- Scotland, France and Portugal boast a 100% record in Euro 2024 qualifying
- England, Croatia, Czechia, Belgium, Austria, Hungary, Romania and Switzerland remain unbeaten
- Liechtenstein, San Marino, Latvia, Malta, Gibraltar and Cyprus have failed to register a point

It is no real surprise that France and Portugal have won all their games, but Scotland is the surprise package of the qualification campaign. On top of that, nations like Czechia, Austria, Hungary and Romania are yet to taste defeat.
At the opposite end of the spectrum, Liechtenstein, San Marino, Latvia, Malta, Gibraltar and Cyprus have lost all their games, while seven nations have failed to register a victory up to now.
Portugal is the highest-scoring team, with Bruno Fernandes bagging four goals and five assists. The Euro 2016 champions have achieved six successive shutouts, joining France at the summit of the clean sheet leaderboard. As it stands, England is the bookies’ favorite to lift the Euro 2024 trophy, although France is a close second. Boasting considerable home-field advantage, Germany is the third favorite to secure the silverware.
Spain is the only other nation priced below +1000, with Portugal, Italy, Netherlands and Belgium coming in at +1400 or under. Denmark and Croatia complete the top 10, leading teams like Switzerland and Austria.
Matchday 7 Euro 2024 Qualifying Predictions
Matchday 7 kicks off this Thursday, October 12. There is no shortage of tasty matchups on the schedule, including the Group B showdown between the Netherlands and France.
That said, my Euro 2024 qualifying predictions concern lower-profile clashes with greater betting value. I have also decided to cover one game on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, spreading out the fun across multiple days.
Can Turkey end Croatia’s unbeaten record? Will Portugal extend their winning streak against Slovakia? Who will come out on top when Slovenia hosts Finland? Here are my Euro 2024 qualifying predictions for Matchday 7.
Croatia vs. Turkey Prediction
Odds: Croatia (-154); Turkey (+420)
Croatia has enjoyed an impressive qualification campaign up to now, taking 10 points from a possible 12 to remain unbeaten. Despite playing one game fewer than all the other teams in Group D, the Croatians find themselves at the summit of the standings.
Turkey also sits on 10 points, but the Cresent-Stars suffered a 2-0 loss on Matchday 2. Funnily enough, that defeat came against Croatia, with Manchester City’s Mateo Kovacic bagging a brace to sink the hosts in Bursa.
With that in mind, I’m backing Croatia to complete the double over Turkey on Thursday. Not only do the Croatians boast an impressive record in Group D, but they also possess a remarkable record in major tournaments in recent years.
Best Bet: Croatia (-154)
Portugal vs. Slovakia Prediction
Odds: Portugal (-435); Slovakia (+1000)
It is no exaggeration to say that Portugal has posted a perfect qualification campaign so far. Indeed, Roberto Martinez’s men have won all six matches in Group J, scoring 24 goals while keeping six clean sheets.
Thanks to superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes, Portugal averages four goals per game in Group J. As a result, the Euro 2016 champions are well on their way to securing a Euro 2024 berth ahead of schedule.
It is worth noting, however, that Slovakia has recorded four wins, one draw and only one defeat. Although the Slovakians have scored 16 goals fewer than Portugal, they have conceded on just two occasions.

Slovenia vs. Finland Prediction
Odds: Slovenia (-114); Finland (+331)
It’s safe to say that Group H is the toughest group to predict right now. With the top four teams – Slovenia, Denmark, Finland and Kazakhstan – separated by a solitary point, Group H looks destined to go down to the wire.
Having taken 13 points from a possible 18, the Slovenians find themselves at the summit of the standings after six matches. Averaging more than two goals per game, Matjaz Kek’s men are in pole position to win the group.
Still, Finland trails Slovenia by a single point thanks to a run of four victories in five matches. It is also worth pointing out that Finland boasts the best defensive record in Group H, so the visitors will fancy their chances of upsetting the odds here.
