We have CFL Week 21 predictions for the three games on the schedule. It’s the final week of the regular season. Unfortunately, none of the games matter, but that won’t stop us from winning some money.

The Lions, Roughriders and Elks aren’t in action this week.

CFL Week 20 Results and Betting Recap

Here are the results from CFL Week 20:

  • Stampeders (41) vs. Lions (16): Stampeders (+8) Covered ATS and Over 50
  • Argonauts (29) vs. Roughriders (26): Roughriders (+9.5) Covered ATS and Over 50.5
  • Elks (25) vs. Blue Bombers (45): Blue Bombers (-11.5) Covered ATS and Over 50

Favorites went 2-1 (1-2 ATS) in Week 20 and are 51-26 (38-37-2 ATS) on the season. All three games went over the total last week. The over/under record this season is 44-34. I ended up going 1-2 (-$120) last week and I’m now 43-31 (+$940) on the season. My goal is to close the CFL campaign with $1000+ (10 units) of profit. We’ll start with my CFL Week 21 predictions and then the CFL playoffs.

It’s now time to preview the three games and come up with my CFL Week 21 predictions.

This week will be tough, as a lot of starters could rest or see limited action since the games don’t matter. We also don’t even have betting lines for the two games on Saturday yet. When the CFL odds open for the two games on Saturday, I’ll release my CFL Week 21 predictions.

Blue Bombers vs. Stampeders Prediction

  • When: Friday, October 27th 2023 at 9:00 PM ET
  • Where: McMahon Stadium in Calgary, Alberta
  • Opening Spread: Blue Bombers -2.5 / Current Spread: Blue Bombers -2.5
  • Opening Total: 46.5 Points / Current Total: 46.5 Points

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers (13-4 / 10-7 ATS) won the West Division and will have a bye next week. We will likely see Zach Collaros on Friday night, but Dru Brown should see some playing time as well. The Calgary Stampeders (6-11 / 7-9-1 ATS) dominated the Lions last week to secure a spot in the playoffs.

Winnipeg rank first in points allowed (21.4 PPG) and second in points scored (32.8 PPG). Winnipeg will want to run the football (137.1 RYPG – 1st), as the Stamps allow 122.0 RYPG (7th). The Blue Bombers are only allowing 235.9 PYPG (1st) and 89.0 RYPG (3rd), so the Stampeders will struggle offensively.

Calgary’s offense averages 98.6 RYPG (6th) and 243.9 PYPG (7th). Dedrick Mills is listed as the starting RB for the Stampeders, which means Ka’Deem Carey will rest for the playoffs.

With both teams resting some starters, I trust the Blue Bombers reserves to produce. Brown went 7/7 for 94 yards and 2 TDs in relief duty last week. Take the Bombers to cover on CFL Week 21 predictions.

Best Bet: Winnipeg Blue Bombers -2.5 (-110)

Tiger-Cats vs. Alouettes Prediction

  • When: Saturday, October 28th 2023 at 4:00 PM ET
  • Where: Percival Molson Memorial Stadium in Montreal, Quebec
  • Opening Spread: OTB
  • Opening Total: OTB

There are no odds for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (8-9 / 9-8 ATS) vs. Montreal Alouettes (10-7 / 10-7 ATS) yet. You’ll need to sign-up to Sports Hub to get my CFL Week 21 predictions for this game once betting odds have been released. These two teams will also play next week in the Eastern Semifinal.

Montreal are allowing 21.9 PPG (2nd) and have improved on defense. The Als defense has scored a TD in three consecutive games. They’re also tied for second place in turnover margin (+10).

Hamilton’s offense averages 277.1 PYPG (4th) and 97.3 RYPG (7th), but they only score 22.8 PPG (7th). The Tiger-Cats have also struggled to move the football against Montreal this season. In two H2H games, the Ti-Cats have been held to 12 and 14 points. The Als are 2-0 (2-0 ATS) against Hamilton this season.

The Alouettes have had success airing it out against the Ti-Cats pass defense (271.5 PYPG – 6th). They threw for 292 yards in the first game and 318 yards in the second game. The Als are only 4-4 (5-3 ATS) at home this season. I’ll release my CFL Week 21 predictions for this matchup once the odds open.

Argonauts vs. Redblacks Prediction

  • When: Saturday, October 28th 2023 at 7:00 PM ET
  • Where: TD Place in Ottawa, Ontario
  • Opening Spread: OTB
  • Opening Total: OTB

The Ottawa Redblacks (4-13 / 5-12 ATS) host the Toronto Argonauts (15-2 / 12-5 ATS). Toronto are 1-0 (1-0 ATS) against Ottawa this season and the game went over the game total. We don’t have CFL odds for the Argonauts vs. Redblacks matchup yet. Sign-up to Sports Hub to get our CFL Week 21 predictions.

The Argonauts lead the league in scoring (33.2 PPG) and they allow 22.0 PPG (3rd). The Redblacks are scoring 23.1 PPG (6th), but the defense has struggled and they’re allowing 28.2 PPG (7th).

Both teams will want to run the football. The Argonauts average 117.6 RYPG (4th) and the Redblacks are averaging 127.8 RYPG (2nd). However, both defenses have been stout against the run. Toronto rank first in rushing yards allowed (81.2 RYPG) and Ottawa rank second in rushing yards allowed (86.8 RYPG).

Who knows what to expect in this game. It’s a meaningless game for the Argos and they’ll be happy just to avoid any injuries. Ottawa will want to close the season on a good note, but they’re on a three-game losing streak. Once the odds are out, I’ll release my CFL Week 21 predictions for this matchup.

CFL Week 21 Predictions – Player Props

We typically release two free CFL player props each week, but those markets aren’t up yet. The bookies are waiting to see who will start and sit before releasing the props. I expect the odds won’t be released until tomorrow at the earliest, but we’ll have Canadian football predictions for all three games.
