Paris Masters predictions are on the SportsHub tennis menu this week. If you’re looking for some expert predictions for the quarterfinals, we’ve got you covered. 

We are approaching the business end of the 2023 Rolex Paris Masters, with the quarterfinals scheduled for Friday, November 3. The lineup remains incomplete, but that won’t stop me from previewing the three confirmed matchups. 

I will reveal my Paris Masters predictions for the quarterfinals shortly. Before we go any further, though, we need to assess the current state of affairs in the French capital. 

Rolex Paris Masters 2023 – The Story So Far 

The Rolex Paris Masters 2023 has already claimed multiple big-name scalps. Seeded players such as Frances Tiafoe and Ben Shelton fell in the first round, while even more high-profile performers were eliminated in the second round. 

Indeed, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Casper Ruud, Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul each fell in the second round. That means the second and third seeds are out of the competition, along with several other seeded players. 

It is also worth noting that Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev departed the tournament in the third round, meaning two more top-10 seeds failed to make it to the quarterfinals. 

Paris Masters Quarterfinal Lineup 

The 2023 Paris Masters quarterfinals are set to go down this Friday, November 3. Three of the quarterfinal clashes have already been confirmed, with the fourth and final match set to be determined late on Thursday. 

Here is the Rolex Paris Masters 2023 quarterfinal lineup: 

• Stefanos Tsitsipas vs. Karen Khachanov 
• Alex de Minaur vs. Andrey Rublev 
• Hubert Hurkacz vs. Grigor Dimitrov 
• Novak Djokovic/Tallon Griekspoor vs. Daniel Altmaier/Holger Rune 

The highest seed confirmed for the quarterfinals is Andrey Rublev (#5), who will take on Alex de Minaur (#13). Stefanos Tsitsipas (#7) will face Karen Khachanov (#16), while Hubert Hurkacz (#11) will do battle with the unseeded Bulgarian, Grigor Dimitrov. 

As you can see, Novak Djokovic will take on Tallon Griekspoor for a place in the least eight, with Daniel Altmaier taking on Holger Rune. Djokovic and Rune are the bookies’ heavy favorites to advance, but nothing is set in stone. 

Although we are still waiting for the bookies to release their odds for Friday’s clashes, we can still make some Paris Masters predictions for the quarterfinals. Let’s take a closer look at the three confirmed matchups. 

2023 Paris Masters Predictions for the Quarterfinals 

It’s time for me to share my Paris Masters predictions for the quarterfinals. There are still two spots up for grabs in the last eight, meaning the bookies haven’t published their odds. Still, there is no harm in getting a head start on the competition, right? 

In this section, I will take an in-depth look at all six confirmed participants and share my thoughts on each matchup. Once the quarterfinal lineup is confirmed, you will be able to jump on your favored bets and lock in your picks. 

For what it’s worth, I’m backing Djokovic and Rune to cruise into the quarterfinals without any major issues, but I won’t jump the gun on that potential clash. Without further ado, here are my Paris Masters predictions for the quarterfinals. 

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs. Karen Khachanov Prediction 

Few would argue that Tsitsipas is not the heavy favorite to win this match. After all, the 25-year-old has already reached a Grand Slam final this year, losing to Djokovic in the Australian Open showpiece back in January. 

After dispatching Felix Auger-Aliassime earlier this week, Tsitsipas secured an impressive victory over Alexander Zverev on Wednesday. It could be argued that Khachanov is an easier opponent than both of those players. 

Khachanov will be fatigued after playing three matches in three days, and he was pushed to a third set against Roman Safiullin on Thursday. With that in mind, I recommend backing Tsitsipas when the odds are released. 

Alex de Minaur vs. Andrey Rublev Prediction 

There is no denying that Rublev is expected to win this matchup. The 26-year-old Russian has reached three Grand Slam quarterfinals this year, meaning he has reached five of the previous seven major quarterfinals. 

As for de Minaur, he has struggled to make an impact on Grand Slam tournaments in 2023. The Australian has also faltered in multiple ATP events this year, suffering three successive final defeats in the UK, Mexico, and Canada. 

It is also worth noting that de Minaur only booked his place in the quarterfinals due to Jannick Sinner’s injury retirement on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Rublev earned his spot in the last eight with a convincing victory, so I can see them winning this one. 

Hubert Hurkacz vs. Grigor Dimitrov Prediction 

This is undoubtedly the toughest quarterfinal matchup to call, as both players stand a strong chance of winning. Although Hurkacz is the seeded player, Dimitrov is vastly experienced and knows what it takes to run deep in tournaments. 

In fact, Dimitrov reached three Grand Slam semifinals between 2014 and 2019 before making it to the quarterfinals of the 2021 Australian Open. For that reason, the 32-year-old Bulgarian will fancy his chances of triumphing on Friday. 

Having played three matches in the space of three days, Hurkacz will surely be tired. When you think about Hurkacz’s workload and consider Dimitrov’s experience, it could be worth baking Dimitrov to advance to the semifinals.
