The CFP selection committee released their first rankings last week on Halloween. The top four teams in the CFP rankings were Ohio State (#1), Georgia (#2), Michigan (#3) and Florida State (#4).

The second of six CFP rankings will be released by the selection committee tonight.

NCAA Football Week 10 Report – Handicappers Review

NCAA Football Week 10 Report – Game of the Week

Let’s recap the “Game of the Week” in our NCAA football Week 10 report.

• Game of the Week: #9 Oklahoma (24) vs. #22 Oklahoma State (27)

There were a number of big games in Week 10. There was also plenty of scoring. I wanted to feature the Cowboys in the game of the week slot for our NCAA football Week 10 report, though. Oklahoma State were big underdogs (+7.5), but a big fourth quarter sealed the win at home.

Alan Bowman went 28/42 for 334 yards, 0 TDs and 0 INTs, but he had a rushing TD. The Cowboys ended the game with 146 rushing yards and three rushing TDs on 38 carries (3.8 yards per carry).

Rashod Owens (10 receptions for 136 yards) had a monster game. Turnovers plagued the Sooners, as Dillon Gabriel threw an interception and lost a fumble. Jovantae Barnes also lost a fumble.

The Cowboys have now won five games in a row and are tied with Texas at 5-1 in Big 12 play.

Biggest Games and Upsets in College Football Week 10

Here are the rest of the top ten biggest games we wanted to include in our NCAA football Week 10 report:

• #5 Washington (52) vs. #20 USC (42): It was the Dillon Johnson show for the Huskies last week, as he had 26 carries for 256 yards and 4 TDs. The Huskies remain undefeated.

• #23 Kansas State (30) vs. #7 Texas (33): KSU outscored Texas in the fourth quarter (16-3) to tie the game, but the Longhorns scored a game-winning field goal in overtime to survive the scare.

• #14 LSU (28) vs. #8 Alabama (42): LSU couldn’t stop Alabama’s rushing attack. Alabama ended up exploding on the ground. Bama had 46 carries for 288 yards (6.3 yards per carry) and six TDs.

• #15 Notre Dame (23) vs. Clemson (31): Clemson had a 24-9 lead at halftime and were able to hold on to upset the Fighting Irish. Phil Mafah had 186 rushing yards and 2 TDs in the win.

• #19 UCLA (10) vs. Arizona (27): Arizona upset UCLA last Saturday. Noah Fifita went 25/32 for 300 yards, 3 TDs and 1 INT. Arizona are now ranked in the newest AP top 25 rankings.

• Army (23) vs. #25 Air Force (3): Air Force were huge favorites (-17.5), but Army were ready to play. Air Force are no longer undefeated or ranked after the surprising loss.

• #12 Missouri (21) vs. #1 Georgia (30): This game was tied at halftime (10-10). Georgia have had several slow starts this season, but they continue finding a way to win games.

• Texas A&M (35) vs. #10 Ole Miss (38): Texas A&M pulled within three points of Ole Miss and had a last-second FG attempt to tie the game, but Randy Bond missed the FG.

• #16 Oregon State (26) vs. Colorado (19): Travis Hunter had eight receptions for 98 yards and 1 TD, but it wasn’t enough. Colorado are now 4-5, but they’re 5-3-1 ATS this season.

Just like last week, there were some big upsets we got to include in our NCAA football Week 10 report.

NCAA Football Week 10 Report – Betting Trends

We’ll now look at some updated betting trends in our NCAA football Week 10 report.

• Top 25 vs. Unranked: Fading the top 25 against the spread when playing unranked opponents has been profitable this season. It was another losing week for the top 25 vs. unranked. Top 25 teams went 12-3 (7-8 ATS) against unranked opponents in NCAAF Week 10 action.

• Undefeated Power Five Teams: Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Florida State and Washington all won in Week 10 and are still undefeated. These are also the top five teams in the AP top 25 rankings. OSU and Michigan close out the season against each other, which will be exciting.

• NCAAF ATS Trends: Arizona and UNLV are 8-1 ATS and have been the most profitable teams to bet on. Oregon are 7-1-1 ATS. Vanderbilt are the worst team against the spread (1-9 ATS). USC have also been terrible (2-8 ATS). Georgia are #1 in the country, but just 2-6-1 ATS.

• NCAAF Over/Under Trends: LSU have gone over in every game this season (9-0). USC (9-1) and New Mexico (8-1) are both great teams to target the over. Arizona are the most profitable team to bet on the under (O/U record: 1-8). Eight teams have an over/under record of 2-7 (Troy, Ohio State, NC State, Syracuse, Tulane, Iowa, UCLA and Coastal Carolina).

What to Watch for Next Week in College Football

It’s now time to preview Week 11 games in our NCAA football Week 10 report.

• #10 Ole Miss vs. #1 Georgia: Ole Miss (8-1 / 5-1 SEC) are having a great season. Georgia are big favorites (-10.5), but there’s a chance the Rebels can score early and pull off the upset.

• #2 Michigan vs. #9 Penn State: Penn State were unable to defeat Ohio State on the road in Week 8, but they’ll get a chance to upset Michigan at home in Week 11.

• #13 Utah vs. #5 Washington: The Utes exploded for 55 points last week. Utah will need to have a similar performance if they want to have a chance to upset the Huskies on the road.

• #14 Tennessee vs. #16 Missouri: We have an SEC battle in this matchup. Both teams are 7-2 (3-2 in SEC play). Tennessee are small favorites (-1) on the road, but this is essentially a toss up.

• USC vs. #6 Oregon: USC have fallen apart and they’ve lost three of their last four games. They’ll look to upset the Ducks, but Oregon are massive favorites (-16.5) at home in NCAAF Week 11.

AP Top 25 Rankings Heading Into Week 11

We’ll continue tracking the AP top 25 rankings in our NCAA football Week 10 report. We’ll also provide all of you with updates on the CFP selection committee rankings each week.

The top in the AP top 25 rankings are unchanged from last week, but Ole Miss is now #10. Louisville, Oregon State, Utah and Tennessee all jumped up the rankings in the newest AP top 25 poll.

The biggest movers were Notre Dame (lost ten spots) and Oklahoma (lost seven spots).

UCLA, USC and Kansas State are no longer ranked after losing in Week 10. Arizona, North Carolina and Liberty are ranked now. James Madison continue moving up the rankings and are #21 in the country now.
