We have released our expert UFC Fight Night 236 predictions for Saturday’s MMA card. The action will be hosted at UFC Apex in Las Vegas. It’s a weak event, with just two ranked fighters on the card.
Jack Hermansson will fight Joe Pyfer in the main event on Saturday night.
There are quite a few UFC veterans in action this weekend. I’ve gone through each of the fights and have analyzed the betting markets (odds) to come up with my best UFC Fight Night 236 predictions.

Before we get into my UFC Fight Night 236 predictions, I’ll briefly preview the event.
The two ranked fighters on the card are Hermansson (#11 MW) and Dan Ige (#13 FW). Ige will fight in the co-main event against Andre Fili. Ige is a favorite, but Hermansson is a big underdog in his fight.
Ihor Potieria and Darrius Flowers both missed weight on their first attempt. Flowers is only 0.25 pounds over the limit. Potieria was 1.5 pounds over the limit, but I expect both fighters to still fight on Saturday. If either fight ends up getting canceled, bets will be voided and stakes returned.

Jack Hermansson vs. Joe Pyfer Prediction
- Fight Odds: Hermansson (+195) vs. Pyfer (-240)
Hermansson (23-8) has fought some of the top middleweights, but with varying success. He’s 3-4 in his last seven fights and he’s coming off a TKO loss against Roman Dolidze. Pyfer (12-2) is on a five-fight win streak and he’s 3-0 in the UFC. He has stopped his last five opponents in the first or second rounds.
Pyfer averages 3.64 SLpM, 2.34 SApM and 2.97 takedowns per 15 minutes (83% accuracy). He has a lot of power (8 TKO/KO wins) and can also tap his opponents out (3 Submission wins). Hermansson has the edge in experience, but Pyfer is younger and more powerful. Who will win?

Dan Ige vs. Andre Fili Prediction
- Fight Odds: Ige (-170) vs. Fili (+140)
Ige (17-7) and Fili (23-10-0-1) are both UFC vets. Both fighters have struggled against ranked opponents in recent years. Ige is on a 2-4 run in the UFC and Fili is on a 2-3-0-1 run in his last six fights.
Ige has never been stopped in his career. Fili has been stopped five times, but most of those were earlier in his career. Fili has only been stopped once since 2017. Ige averages 3.76 SLpM and 3.53 SApM, while Fili averages 3.86 SLpM and 4.11 SApM. Both guys are capable of landing takedowns as well.

Robert Bryczek vs. Ihor Potieria Prediction
- Fight Odds: Bryczek (-160) vs. Potieria (+130)
This is a close fight. Bryczek (17-5) is making his UFC debut. He has won five consecutive fights in the first round by TKO/KO. He has 11 TKO/KO wins. Potieria (19-5) is 1-3 in the UFC.
Potieria knocked out Mauricio Rua, but he was knocked out by his three other opponents. He’s an active striker (5.59 SLpM), but he eats too many shots (6.56 SApM) and has no ground game. Based on what I’ve seen out of Potieria, I’m backing the UFC debutant on my UFC Fight Night 236 predictions.
Best Bet: Robert Bryczek ML (-160)
Brad Tavares vs. Gregory Rodrigues Prediction
- Fight Odds: Tavares (+200) vs. Rodrigues (-250)
Tavares (20-8) is 1-2 since 2022, but he’s coming off a win against Chris Weidman. Rodrigues (14-5) is 5-2 in the UFC. He just defeated Denis Tiuliulin by KO in the first round. Rorigues has nine TKO/KO wins.
Tavares has been knocked out four times and his chin will be tested in this fight. Tavares averages 3.38 SLpM and 3.03 SApM, while Rodrigues averages 5.99 SLpM, 5.67 SApM and 2.40 TDs per 15 minutes. Rodrigues rarely goes the distance in his fights. Login to access my UFC Fight Night 236 predictions.

Michael Johnson vs. Darrius Flowers Prediction
- Fight Odds: Johnson (-135) vs. Flowers (+105)
Johnson (21-19) is 2-6 in his last eight fights, but he’s still favored. Flowers (12-6-1) lost his UFC debut against Jake Matthews by submission. Flowers has lost five fights by submission in his career.
Johnson only has two submission wins in his career, but the last time he tapped an opponent out was way back in 2009. Flowers averages 4.19 SLpM and 7.02 SApM. He needs to absorb less shots to have any success in the UFC. Sign-up to Sports Hub to access my UFC Fight Night 236 predictions.

Rodolfo Vieira vs. Armen Petrosyan Prediction
- Fight Odds: Vieira (-125) vs. Petrosyan (-105)
Vieira (9-2) is a submission specialist with eight submission wins. Petrosyan (9-2) has some power and has six TKO/KO wins, but his last three wins in the UFC have all come by decision.
Vieira averages 3.70 takedowns per 15 minutes, but he only has 26% accuracy. Petrosyan has poor TD defense (36%), though. Petrosyan averages 5.97 SLpM and 3.03 SApM. Petrosyan has the edge on the feet, while Vieira has the edge on the mat. Sign-up to get my UFC Fight Night 236 predictions.

Max Griffin vs. Jeremiah Wells Prediction
- Fight Odds: Griffin (+120) vs. Wells (-150)
Griffin (19-10) is 1-2 in his last three fights and his last four fights have gone the distance. Wells (12-3-1) is 4-1 in the UFC, but he’s coming off a submission loss against Carlston Harris last August.
Wells averages 3.89 takedowns per 15 minutes and Griffin has 69% takedown defense. Griffin will have the striking edge (4.09 SLpM and 3.94 SApM). Wells averages 2.52 SLpM and 1.14 SApM. This fight is going to be close, but I have uncovered one of the top UFC Fight Night 236 predictions for this fight.
