   • First Four Winners: 1 point each. (These are the initial games to determine the last few spots in the main bracket.)
   • Round of 64 Winners: 3 points each. (This is the first round of the main tournament.)
   • Round of 32 Winners: 6 points each. (Second round.)
   • Sweet Sixteen Winners: 9 points each. (Third round.)
   • Elite Eight Winners: 12 points each. (Quarterfinals.)
   • Final Four Winners: 40 points each. (Semifinals.)
   • Championship Game Winner: 18 points. (Final game to determine the champion.)
