Bet CBB Props This Week – March 18

This is the week you should definitely bet on CBB props. After tonight, you will have six straight days of college basketball. That means six straight days of CBB props. It all starts on Tuesday night with the First Four. Wagner (16-15) and Howard (18-16) will battle for the No. 16 seed in the West Region. The winner gets No. 1 North Carolina (27-7).

In the other game on Tuesday, Colorado State (24-10) takes on Virginia (23-10) in the Midwest Region. The winner becomes the No. 10 seed and will face No. 7 Texas (20-12). All four of these early games will give bettors opportunities to win bets on CBB props.

Limits on CBB Props

The state of North Carolina just went live with legal online sports betting on March 11. The Tar Heel state becomes the 38th state to have some form of legal sports betting. It is also the seventh state to launch mobile betting this year. North Carolina joins Ohio, Massachusetts, Florida, Kentucky, Vermont, and Maine.

Of the 38 states where sports betting is legal, 25 of those states put some form of limits on CBB props. Thirteen states do not allow any form of CBB props on individual player performance. Ten do not allow CBB props on individual player performance for in-state colleges and universities. Keep that in mind as you bet on the NCAA tournament this week.

Most Common CBB Props

The most common CBB props bets are on player points. If you are not that familiar with prop bets on individual player performance, they are simply Over/Under bets. Take the following example from Tuesday’s Colorado State-Virginia game.

• Isaiah Stevens Over 14.5 (-113) Under 14.5 (+112)

Stevens is Colorado State’s point guard and a likely NBA draft pick this year. Stevens averages 16.5 points per game, but he’ll go up against one of the stingiest defenses in the country. Virginia also plays at the slowest pace in college basketball.

If you like Stevens to go Over 14.5 points, you can bet $10 at -113 odds. If Stevens scores 15 or more, you win $8.85 for a total payout of $18.85. On the other hand, if you think Virginia will limit Stevens to 14 points or less, your $10 bet would win you a total payout of $21.20 ($11.20 in winnings plus your $10 stake).

Baseball Is Coming Soon, Sal

• Watch this guy: In addition to Sal, you’ve got to keep your eye on Seth Cohen. Yesterday, he went 4-0 and earned $415. That pushes his 7-day total to $1265. That is No. 1 on our overall 7-day leaderboard. Seth is also No. 1 on our overall 30-day leaderboard with $2486 in profits. He is No. 7 on our 30-day college basketball leaderboard with $1045 in winnings with a 60.32 winning percentage.

• Another hoops guy: James Anderson was third on yesterday’s leaderboard. He also went 4-0 and took home an even $400 in profits. James is another one of our cappers that has had some recent success picking college hoops. He could be a potential CBB props guy to tail. Over the last 30 days, James is 40-27 (59.7%) on his college basketball picks and is No. 9 on the 30-day CBB leaderboard with profits of $1034.
• Consistency: Bill Blatt went 3-0 yesterday and took home $300. Bill is another one of our exclusive handicappers who is one to watch for CBB props. His college basketball numbers are strong. Over the past 30 days, Bill has gone 36-22 (62.07%) and has profited $1130. Those are Top 10 numbers!
• Computer comes up big again: Sports Hub’s Computer Picks have a strong reputation in the industry. After a 9-2, $680 day yesterday, Computer Picks went 7-4 and added another $260 to the bankroll. The Computer had a solid weekend going 21-13 in preparation for the NCAA tournament after yesterday’s Selection Sunday.

NCAA Tournament Set, Starts Tuesday

Yes, it’s finally here. The 2024 NCAA tournament will start tomorrow night with the First Four. Don’t forget to enter our March Madness bracket contest. What else is trending?

• NCAA bracket set: As mentioned, the 68-team bracket is all set. Keep it tuned right here to Sports Hub for all the best content and picks, including CBB props picks.
• Top snubs: There were a number of quality teams that missed the cut for the NCAA tournaments. Seton Hall and Indiana State both got left out but will be No. 1 seeds in the NIT. St. John’s, Pitt, and Oklahoma were also left out of the Big Dance. All three declined to play in the NIT.

• Mavs win: Luka Doncic had 37 points and Kyrie Irving hit a last-second shot to give the Dallas Mavericks the win over defending NBA champ Denver. It was the 12th win in the last 17 games against the Nuggets when the Mavs have been the host.
• PLAYERS repeat: Scottie Scheffler made history yesterday as he became the first golfer to win back-to-back PLAYERS Championships. Scheffler shot a final round 64 to win the top prize of $4.5 million.

Today’s Sports Schedule

There won’t be any college basketball today. It’s the first Monday in a long time without any CBB props available. Don’t fret, though. There is plenty of NBA action as well as other sports on today’s schedule. There’s definitely enough to make a few bucks tonight.

Here’s what you can bet on tonight.

• No CBB props today: The only day this week that there is no college basketball on the schedule. You’ll have to wait until tomorrow to bet on CBB props.
• NBA ESPN doubleheader: Miami plays at Philadelphia tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET in the first game of ESPN’s doubleheader. Game 2 features the New York Knicks, winners of five of their last seven, against Golden State. That game tips off at 10:00 p.m. ET.

• Slow night in the NHL: There are only two games on the ice tonight. Washington plays at Calgary and Buffalo visits Seattle.
• Soccer slow down: It’s a slow day for international soccer, unless you’re in Argentina. Three different Argentinian professional leagues have matches today. The U.S. Open Cup starts tomorrow.
• Getting closer to Opening Day: Yesterday, veteran Joey Votto hit his first spring training pitch out of the park for Toronto in a spring training game against Philadelphia. Votto was recently signed by his hometown Blue Jays. Toronto is off today, but there are 11 MLB games on today’s schedule.
• Miami Open: The ATP and WTA Tours head to Miami for the next two weeks. The qualifying first round is already underway. Round 1 for the women begins tomorrow and on Wedneday for the men.
