Milwaukee officially secured the NL Central title earlier in the day, courtesy of the Chicago Cubs’ 5-3 loss to Oakland. This marks the Brewers’ second consecutive division title and their fourth in the past seven seasons.
Phillies starter Aaron Nola struck out nine over seven innings, allowing just one run, while Brewers’ Freddy Peralta also fanned nine across five innings.
