No. 3 Oregon 32, No. 2 Ohio State 31
Sappington’s Field Goal Lifts Ducks Past Buckeyes in Epic Battle
In one of the most anticipated matchups of the season, No. 3 Oregon secured a 32-31 victory over No. 2 Ohio State in Eugene, Ore., thanks to a 19-yard field goal by Atticus Sappington with 1:47 remaining. The Ducks drove 74 yards to the 1-yard line to set up the game-winner, which marked the seventh lead change of the contest.
Ohio State had taken a 31-29 lead with a Jayden Fielding 40-yard field goal with six minutes left, but Oregon responded with a game-winning drive. Dillon Gabriel rushed for a 27-yard touchdown earlier in the fourth quarter, and he finished the night with 341 passing yards, two touchdowns, and a rushing score. Evan Stewart had 149 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Jordan James added 115 rushing yards and a score.
Ohio State’s Will Howard threw for 326 yards and two touchdowns, but his last-second scramble came up short as time expired.

No. 1 Texas 34, No. 18 Oklahoma 3
Longhorns Crush Sooners in Red River Rivalry
In their first Red River Rivalry as members of the Southeastern Conference, Texas dominated Oklahoma in a 34-3 victory in Dallas. Quintrevion Wisner led the way for Texas with 118 rushing yards and a touchdown, while the Longhorns defense held the Sooners to just 237 yards.
Texas broke the game open late in the first half, scoring 14 points in the final 2:21 to pull away. Oklahoma quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr. struggled, throwing for 148 yards and taking five sacks.
No. 4 Penn State 33, USC 30 (OT)
Nittany Lions Come Back to Beat Trojans in Overtime Thriller
Ryan Barker nailed a 36-yard field goal in overtime to give Penn State a 33-30 win over USC in Los Angeles. The Nittany Lions overcame a two-touchdown halftime deficit, with Tyler Warren catching a 32-yard touchdown to spark Penn State’s second-half rally. Warren finished with 224 receiving yards, the second most in Penn State history.
Quarterback Drew Allar threw for 391 yards and two touchdowns despite three interceptions. USC’s Miller Moss had two touchdown passes, and Quinten Joyner added a 75-yard rushing score, but Penn State’s defense clamped down in the second half.

Carson Beck Leads Bulldogs Past Mississippi State
Georgia quarterback Carson Beck threw for 459 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Bulldogs to a 41-31 win over Mississippi State in Athens. Arian Smith caught five passes for 134 yards and a touchdown as Georgia improved to 5-1.
Mississippi State’s Michael Van Buren Jr. threw for 306 yards and three touchdowns, but the Bulldogs couldn’t overcome Beck’s career-high passing performance.
No. 7 Alabama 27, South Carolina 25
Crimson Tide Rally to Beat Gamecocks in SEC Showdown
Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe rushed for two touchdowns and threw for another as the Crimson Tide rallied from a fourth-quarter deficit to defeat South Carolina 27-25. South Carolina had a chance to win after recovering an onside kick, but Domani Jackson sealed the win for Alabama with a game-ending interception.
South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers threw for two touchdowns, but a late fumble and interception proved costly.
No. 8 Tennessee 23, Florida 17 (OT)
Sampson’s Third Touchdown Lifts Volunteers in OT
Dylan Sampson scored his third touchdown of the game in overtime to lift Tennessee to a 23-17 victory over Florida. Sampson totaled 112 yards on 27 carries, while quarterback Nico Iamaleava threw for 169 yards.
Florida’s Graham Mertz completed 11 of 15 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown, but the Gators couldn’t pull off the upset in Knoxville.
No. 13 LSU 29, No. 9 Ole Miss 26 (OT)
Nussmeier’s TD Pass in OT Lifts LSU Past Rebels
LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Kyren Lacy in overtime, giving the Tigers a 29-26 win over Ole Miss. Nussmeier also threw a game-tying touchdown with 27 seconds left in regulation to force overtime.
Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart passed for 284 yards, but the Rebels committed two costly penalties in overtime, allowing LSU to take its first lead of the game.
No. 10 Clemson 49, Wake Forest 14
Klubnik Throws 3 TDs as Tigers Cruise
Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik threw three touchdown passes as the Tigers routed Wake Forest 49-14 in Winston-Salem. Phil Mafah added 118 rushing yards and two touchdowns for Clemson, which won its fifth straight game.
Wake Forest quarterback Hank Bachmeier struggled, throwing two interceptions before being benched in the third quarter.
No. 11 Iowa State 28, West Virginia 16
Hansen’s 3 TDs Lead Cyclones Past Mountaineers
Running back Carson Hansen scored three rushing touchdowns to lead Iowa State to a 28-16 win over West Virginia. Quarterback Rocco Becht threw for 265 yards for the Cyclones, who improved to 6-0 on the season.
West Virginia quarterback Garrett Greene threw two interceptions, which Iowa State capitalized on to break open the game in the fourth quarter.

Leonard Leads Fighting Irish Past Cardinal
Notre Dame quarterback Riley Leonard threw for 229 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for another as the Fighting Irish crushed Stanford 49-7 in South Bend. Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price each added a rushing touchdown for Notre Dame.
Stanford quarterback Ashton Daniels struggled, throwing for just 74 yards in the loss.

Cougars Use Turnovers to Beat Wildcats
BYU capitalized on two turnovers by Arizona quarterback Noah Fifita, cruising to a 41-19 victory in Provo. BYU quarterback Jake Retzlaff threw for 218 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Cougars to a 6-0 start.
Fifita threw for 275 yards but also had three interceptions for Arizona.
No. 17 Boise State 28, Hawaii 7
Jeanty’s Big Night Lifts Broncos Over Rainbow Warriors
Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty rushed for 217 yards and a touchdown to lead the Broncos to a 28-7 win over Hawaii. Jeanty also caught a touchdown pass as Boise State improved to 5-1.
Hawaii quarterback Brayden Schager threw for 264 yards and a touchdown, but the Rainbow Warriors couldn’t keep pace with Boise State’s offense.

Wildcats Hold Off Buffaloes in Boulder
Kansas State quarterback Avery Johnson threw a 50-yard touchdown pass to Jayce Brown with 2:14 remaining, lifting the Wildcats to a 31-28 win over Colorado. Johnson threw for 224 yards and added a rushing touchdown.
Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders threw for 388 yards and three touchdowns in the loss.
No. 21 Missouri 45, Massachusetts 3
Cook, Burden Lead Tigers to Blowout Win
Missouri quarterback Brady Cook threw for 219 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Tigers to a 45-3 rout of UMass. Luther Burden III rushed for a touchdown and caught five passes for 59 yards before exiting with a shoulder injury.
Missouri improved to 5-1, while UMass dropped to 1-6.
No. 22 Pittsburgh 17, California 15
Panthers Escape With Win After Cal’s Missed FG
Pittsburgh running back Desmond Reid rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Panthers to a 17-15 win over Cal. Cal’s Ryan Coe missed a potential go-ahead 40-yard field goal with 1:50 remaining, sealing the Panthers’ win.
