Eric Singleton Eyes Georgia After Entering Portal
Georgia Tech sophomore wide receiver Eric Singleton entered the transfer portal on Monday, potentially heading to rival Georgia. Singleton led the Yellow Jackets in 2024 with 56 receptions for 754 yards and three touchdowns while adding 131 rushing yards and a touchdown. As a freshman in 2023, he tallied 714 receiving yards and six touchdowns.
Singleton shined in the regular-season finale against Georgia with eight catches for 86 yards and a score. Now, he’s reportedly visiting the Bulldogs in Athens.
The same day, Georgia wide receivers Nitro Tuggle and Michael Jackson III announced their transfer intentions. Tuggle, a freshman, looks for a fresh start, while Jackson, a former four-star recruit from USC, departs after catching only one pass this season.
Georgia Tech plays Vanderbilt in the Birmingham Bowl on Dec. 27, but Singleton’s future could lie elsewhere.

Texas Tech’s Micah Hudson Looks for a New Start
Micah Hudson, a five-star recruit in 2023, announced his decision to transfer from Texas Tech after an injury-marred freshman season. The Temple, Texas, native managed 123 yards on eight receptions in eight games.
Head coach Joey McGuire expressed his desire to see Hudson stay but respects his decision to find a better fit.
Wisconsin QB Tyler Van Dyke Re-Enters Transfer Portal
Tyler Van Dyke, formerly the starting quarterback at Miami (Fla.), is back in the portal after an injury-plagued season at Wisconsin. Van Dyke appeared in just three games before an injury against Alabama ended his 2024 campaign. With 55 career touchdown passes, he’s an experienced passer looking for a fresh opportunity.
Nebraska DL Keona Davis Seeks New Opportunity
Nebraska freshman defensive lineman Keona Davis entered the transfer portal following the departure of defensive line coach Terrance Knighton to Florida State. Davis, a top recruit from Arizona, recorded nine tackles and two tackles for loss in 2024.
Knighton had high praise for Davis’ potential, likening his upside to former Husker star Ndamukong Suh. Davis leaves with four years of eligibility.
Tulane QB Darian Mensah Moves On After Breakout Season
Darian Mensah, who led Tulane to the AAC Championship Game, has entered the transfer portal. In 2024, Mensah completed 65.9% of his passes for 2,723 yards, 22 touchdowns, and six interceptions, adding 132 rushing yards. His 166.7 passer rating led the AAC.
Despite a strong regular season, Tulane lost its final two games, including a 35-14 defeat to Army in the AAC title game. Mensah will explore new opportunities for 2025.
