Scott Laughton tied a franchise record with four goals, leading the Philadelphia Flyers to a 4-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings. Aleksei Kolosov made 25 saves, narrowly missing his first NHL shutout, as the Flyers secured their second straight win.
Laughton now has 13 goals in 20 career games against Detroit, compared to just 89 in his other 611 games. He became the first Flyers player to score four goals in a game since John LeClair in 2002. Ben Chiarot scored the lone goal for Detroit, which has dropped six of its last seven games (1-4-2).

Rookie Macklin Celebrini tallied two goals and an assist to lead the San Jose Sharks to a 4-3 victory over the St. Louis Blues. Alexandar Georgiev, in his Sharks debut, stopped 17 shots to secure the win.
Tyler Toffoli scored, and Jake Neighbours contributed a goal and an assist for the Blues, who fell to 5-2-1 under new head coach Jim Montgomery. Jordan Binnington made 27 saves in the loss.
Golden Knights 3, Jets 2 (OT)
Ivan Barbashev scored at 3:47 of overtime to lift the Vegas Golden Knights to a 3-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets. Victor Olofsson and Keegan Kolesar also scored for Vegas, while Adin Hill made 18 saves to remain unbeaten in six career games against the Jets.
Josh Morrissey and Nikita Chibrikov scored for Winnipeg, which suffered its eighth straight loss to the Golden Knights.
Canucks 4, Panthers 0
Kevin Lankinen posted a 27-save shutout as the Vancouver Canucks blanked the Florida Panthers. J.T. Miller, back after a 10-game absence, notched two assists in Vancouver’s fifth home win of the season.
Carson Soucy, Danton Heinen, Brock Boeser, and Jake DeBrusk scored for Vancouver, which also welcomed back defenseman Derek Forbort after a 17-game absence due to a knee injury.
Islanders 5, Blackhawks 4
Noah Dobson, Bo Horvat, and Maxim Tsyplakov scored in a 2:19 span to help the New York Islanders hold off a late rally and defeat the Chicago Blackhawks. Dennis Cholowski and Simon Holmstrom also scored for the Islanders, who have won three of their last four games.
Tyler Bertuzzi scored twice in the final 1:10 for Chicago, while Connor Bedard and Alex Vlasic each contributed two assists.
Penguins 9, Canadiens 2
Bryan Rust recorded a hat trick and Sidney Crosby notched three assists as the Pittsburgh Penguins routed the Montreal Canadiens. Rickard Rakell added two goals and two assists in the Penguins’ six-goal third period.
Nick Suzuki and Joel Armia scored for the Canadiens, who swapped goalies midway through the game after Sam Montembeault allowed six goals.
Capitals 2, Blue Jackets 1 (OT)
Aliaksei Protas scored twice, including the game-winner in overtime, to lift the Washington Capitals past the Columbus Blue Jackets. Charlie Lindgren made 32 saves as Washington extended its franchise-record road winning streak to 10 games.
Zach Werenski scored the lone goal for Columbus, which has lost five of its past six games.
Predators 4, Stars 1
Ryan O’Reilly tallied two goals and an assist as the Nashville Predators snapped an eight-game losing streak with a victory over the Dallas Stars. Tommy Novak and Zachary L’Heureux also scored for the Predators, while Justus Annunen stopped 35 shots.
Dallas rookie Lian Bichsel scored his first NHL goal, and Jake Oettinger made 22 saves in the loss.
Lightning 8, Flames 3
Nikita Kucherov matched a career high with six points (one goal, five assists), and Andrei Vasilevskiy picked up a win in his 500th NHL game as the Tampa Bay Lightning routed the Calgary Flames.
Jake Guentzel scored a hat trick, and Brayden Point added a goal and three assists for Tampa Bay, which has won three of its last four games. Jonathan Huberdeau led Calgary with a goal and an assist.

Devils 3, Kings 1
Jack Hughes broke a tie in the third period and added two assists as the New Jersey Devils defeated the Los Angeles Kings. Hughes helped on goals by Ondrej Palat and Brett Pesce, whose short-handed tally sealed the win.
Jordan Spence scored the lone goal for the Kings, whose six-game winning streak came to an end.
