Ian Jackson Leads North Carolina’s Comeback Over No. 18 UCLA

North Carolina freshman Ian Jackson, playing in his hometown, scored a season-high 24 points to lead the Tar Heels to a 76-74 comeback victory over No. 18 UCLA at the CBS Sports Classic in New York. RJ Davis added 17 points and sank the go-ahead free throw with 13 seconds left. The Tar Heels rallied from a 16-point deficit, defeating a ranked opponent for the first time in five tries this season.

Tyler Bilodeau scored a season-high 26 points for UCLA, with Sebastian Mack adding 22 in the Bruins’ second loss of the season.

No. 2 Auburn Dominates No. 16 Purdue

Johni Broome overcame a shoulder injury to post 23 points and 11 rebounds in No. 2 Auburn’s 87-69 victory over No. 16 Purdue in Birmingham, Ala. The Tigers built a 33-point lead during the game, with Tahaad Pettiford contributing 18 points and Denver Jones adding 15. Auburn improved to 11-1.

Purdue, now 8-4, received 16 points from C.J. Cox and 15 from Trey Kaufman-Renn, who struggled at the free-throw line, making just one of seven attempts.


Ohio State Stuns No. 4 Kentucky at MSG

Aaron Bradshaw, playing against his former team, scored 11 points in his first game in over a month to help Ohio State upset No. 4 Kentucky 85-65 at Madison Square Garden. Bruce Thornton led the Buckeyes with 30 points, while John Mobley Jr. added 15.

Otega Oweh scored 21 for Kentucky, which fell to 10-2.


No. 5 Duke Cruises Past Georgia Tech

Kon Knueppel’s 18 points and five assists guided No. 5 Duke to an 82-56 rout of Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Khaman Maluach added 15 points and eight rebounds, while Cooper Flagg scored 13 on his 18th birthday as Duke improved to 10-2.

Georgia Tech, now 5-7, was led by Baye Ndongo’s 14 points. The Yellow Jackets shot just 36.2% from the field.


No. 7 Florida Crushes North Florida

Will Richard poured in 26 points on 9-of-12 shooting to lead No. 7 Florida to a commanding 99-45 win over North Florida in Gainesville. The Gators remain undefeated at 12-0, their best start since 2005-06, when they won the first of two consecutive national titles.

North Florida dropped to 7-6 despite 13 points apiece from Jasai Miles and Liam Murphy.


No. 9 Marquette Escapes Xavier in Tight Contest

David Joplin scored 19 points, 15 of them in the second half, to lead No. 9 Marquette to a 72-70 victory over Xavier in Cincinnati. Kam Jones added 20 points, including seven in the final two minutes, as Marquette improved to 11-2.

Jerome Hunter led Xavier with 15 points. The Musketeers have now lost three straight games, all to Top 25 opponents.


Balanced Attack Lifts No. 10 Oregon Past Stanford

Kwame Evans Jr. led a balanced Oregon offense with 13 points in a 76-61 victory over Stanford at the San Jose Tip-Off. Seven other Ducks scored at least seven points as Oregon improved to 11-1.

Stanford’s Maxime Raynaud tallied 20 points and 13 rebounds, his nation-leading 10th double-double of the season.


No. 11 UConn Fends Off Butler

Alex Karaban scored 21 points, including two clutch 3-pointers in the final minute, to propel No. 11 UConn to a 78-74 victory over Butler in Indianapolis. Liam McNeeley added 17 points for the Huskies, who have won six straight games.

Butler rallied from a 16-point deficit behind Patrick McCaffery and Andre Screen, who each scored 17 points.


No. 13 Gonzaga Handles Bucknell

Graham Ike delivered 25 points and 10 rebounds as No. 13 Gonzaga defeated Bucknell 86-65 in Spokane, Wash. Ben Gregg added 15 points off the bench for the Bulldogs, who improved to 9-3.

Bucknell, now 4-8, was led by Noah Williamson’s 16 points.


Sharp and Cryer Lead No. 15 Houston Past Texas A&M Corpus Christi

Emanuel Sharp scored 18 points and L.J. Cryer added 17 to pace No. 15 Houston to an 87-51 victory over Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Terrance Arceneaux contributed 13 points in his first start of the season as the Cougars improved to 8-3.

Garry Clark led Corpus Christi with 17 points and nine rebounds.


Pedulla Sparks No. 17 Ole Miss Over Queens

Sean Pedulla poured in 25 points to guide No. 17 Ole Miss to an 80-62 win over Queens in Oxford. Pedulla shot 9 of 14 from the field, including 5 of 8 from beyond the arc, as the Rebels earned their fifth straight win.

Queens’ Maban Jabriel came off the bench to score 15 points in the loss.


Michigan State Dominates Florida Atlantic

Coen Carr scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds as No. 20 Michigan State defeated Florida Atlantic 86-69 in East Lansing. Jaden Akins added 13 points, while Jaxon Kohler pulled down 12 rebounds for the Spartans.

Tre Carroll led Florida Atlantic with 24 points off the bench.

Mississippi State Stuns No. 21 Memphis

Riley Kugel scored 19 points off the bench as Mississippi State upset No. 21 Memphis 79-66. The Bulldogs shot 50% from beyond the arc and dominated in bench scoring, 41-15.

PJ Haggerty led Memphis with 24 points in the Tigers’ third loss of the season.


San Diego State Stifles Cal

Nick Boyd drained five 3-pointers and scored 17 points as No. 23 San Diego State shut down Cal 71-50 at the San Jose Tip-Off. Magoon Gwath anchored the Aztecs’ defense with 10 rebounds and three blocks.

Cal, now 7-5, was led by Jeremiah Wilkinson’s 13 points, though he struggled from deep, going 0-for-7.


No. 25 Clemson Bounces Back to Beat Wake Forest

Chase Hunter scored 16 points, including four 3-pointers, to help No. 25 Clemson defeat Wake Forest 73-62. Jake Heidbreder added 15 points as Clemson improved to 10-3.

Hunter Sallis scored 26 points for Wake Forest, which fell to 9-4.
