Ben Shelton, the sixth seed, showcased resilience and skill, saving all six break points and converting his only two break opportunities to defeat top-seeded Andrey Rublev 7-5, 6-7 (3), 6-4 in the Swiss Indoors Basel quarterfinals. Shelton will face seventh-seeded Arthur Fils of France in the semifinals after Fils defeated No. 3 Stefanos Tsitsipas 7-6 (5), 6-3 without facing a single break point.

The other semifinal in Basel will see No. 4 Holger Rune of Denmark take on Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard of France. Rune advanced with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Belgium’s David Goffin, while Perricard edged out Canada’s Denis Shapovalov in a tight 6-7 (7), 6-3, 7-6 (3) match.

Musetti Rallies Past Zverev to Reach Vienna Semifinals

At the Erste Bank Open in Vienna, sixth-seeded Lorenzo Musetti pulled off a comeback against top-seeded Alexander Zverev with a 2-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4 victory. Musetti, trailing in the second-set tiebreak, won three consecutive points to level the match and then took the first three games of the third set to secure his semifinal berth.

He will face seventh-seeded Jack Draper of Great Britain, who defeated Tomas Machac 6-3, 3-6, 6-1.

The other semifinal will pit second-seeded Alex de Minaur of Australia against Karen Khachanov of Russia. De Minaur rallied to defeat Jakub Mensik 6-7 (2), 6-3, 6-4, while Khachanov cruised past Matteo Berrettini 6-1, 6-4.
