Fifth-seeded Francisco Cerundolo capitalized on strong serving to defeat Spain’s Pedro Martinez 6-2, 6-4. The Argentine crowd spurred Cerundolo to eight aces, and he staved off all seven break points he faced.

Seventh-seeded Miomir Kecmanovic of Serbia earned his place in the final with a 7-6 (3), 6-3 upset of No. 3 seed Alex Michelsen. Kecmanovic rallied from 4-5 in the opening set before surging to a 3-0 lead in the second, closing out the victory in front of a partisan crowd.
He awaits the winner of the later semifinal between Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and Italy’s Matteo Arnaldi. The championship match will be held Sunday.
