We have uncovered the best NFL DFS Week 9 plays. Each week, we identify the best stacks, studs, value plays, and bargain bin sleepers. We’ll share all of our best plays for NFL DFS Week 9.

There were some surprises at the top of the leaderboard in Week 8. We missed on some targets, but we hit on Jalen Hurts (QB3), A.J. Brown (WR3), Alvin Kamara (RB3), Tyreek Hill (WR5), Breece Hall (RB5) and Minnesota Vikings DST (DST5). We’ll look to perform better with our NFL DFS Week 9 plays.

There are 11 games on the main slate for NFL DFS Week 9, as four teams are on a bye week.

Best Stacks for NFL DFS Week 9

Here are the top two stacks for NFL DFS Week 9 (studs vs. value):

  • Dak Prescott ($6.5K DK / $8.2K FD) / CeeDee Lamb ($8.2K DK / $8.8K FD)

Prescott and Lamb have played well in the Cowboy’s last two games. Prescott is coming off his best game of the season. He went 25/31 for 304 yards, 4 TDs, and 1 INT (32.06 FPs on DK and 29.06 FPs on FD). It was the first time this season that Prescott threw for 300+ yards. He also added some rushing yards.

Lamb had 12 receptions for 158 yards and 2 TDs (44.0 FPs on DK and 35.0 FPs on FD) last week. Dallas plays Philadelphia this week. The Eagles allow 247.5 PYPG (26th) and 2.0 passing TDs per game (T29). Howell just threw four TDs against the Eagles last week. Prescott and Lamb should both have big games.

  • Derek Carr ($5.7K DK / $7.1K FD) / Chris Olave ($6.3K DK / $6.9K FD)

Carr has quietly thrown for 300+ passing yards in each of the Saints’ last three games. He only has four TDs in those three games and has turned the football over once each game, which has kept his DFS scores muted. The Bears are allowing 262.3 PYPG (30th) and 2.1 passing TDs per game (31st).

Olave has struggled since Week 4, but he could have a ceiling game in NFL DFS Week 9. Olave has had 34 targets the last three weeks, but that has only translated into 19 receptions for 199 receiving yards and 0 TDs. If Olave and Carr start connecting on the deep ball, Olave can crush value at his price point.

Best Studs for NFL DFS Week 9

Here are the best studs for NFL DFS Week 9 at QB, RB, WR, TE and DST:

  • QB: Jalen Hurts ($8K DK / $9K FD)

Hurts hit for us last week, and while this is a tougher matchup on paper, he has been consistently putting up big numbers. Hurts is averaging 25.0 FPPG (DK) and 23.45 FPPG (FD). Excluding Week 1, Hurts has scored 20+ FPs in every game this season. He has seven total TDs in the last two weeks.

Potential Stack: A.J. Brown ($8.6K DK / $9K FD)

  • RB: Saquon Barkley ($7.9K DK / $8.6K FD)

Barkley has a prime NFL DFS Week 9 matchup against the Raiders. Las Vegas fired their head coach and GM on Halloween. The Raiders are allowing 140.6 RYPG (30th) and 1.3 rushing TDs per game (T28). Barkley just had 36 carries for 128 rushing yards last week. He could explode this week.

  • WR: Adam Thielen ($7.5K DK / $8.3K FD)

Thielen went from a bargain bin sleeper to a stud. Thielen is averaging 21.5 FPPG (DK) and 16.2 FPPG (FD). He has had 11+ targets in four of the Panther’s last five games. Due to the volume, he has scored 30.0+ FPs three times on DraftKings. The Colts allow 247.3 PYPG (25th) and 28.6 PPG (32nd)

  • TE: T.J. Hockenson ($5.2K DK / $6.7K FD)

Hockenson is a better NFL DFS Week 9 play on DK than FD (I’d pivot to Mark Andrews on FD). With Kirk Cousins injured, Jaren Hall could get the start (Joshua Dobbs might play). Either way, Hockenson should get a lot of checkdown passes. If he finds the end zone like last week, he’ll easily exceed the value on DK.

  • DST: Cleveland Browns ($4.2K DK / $4.7K FD)

The Browns DST have a great matchup to put up points in NFL DFS Week 9. The Cardinals are expected to start Clayton Tune after trading Dobbs. In the last three weeks, the Brown’s defense has had four INTs, three fumble recoveries, eight sacks, and one defensive TD. Getting 10+ FPs would be great.

Best Value Plays for NFL DFS Week 9

Here are the best value plays for NFL DFS Week 9 at QB, RB, WR, TE and DST:

  • QB: C.J. Stroud ($6.2K DK /$7K FD)

Stroud has struggled in his last three games, but he’s averaging 21.8 FPPG (DK) and 19.5 FPPG (FD) at home this season. He has thrown two TDs in each home game. Tampa Bay allow 256.0 PYPG (28th) and 1.1 passing TDs per game (T8). Stroud scored his first rushing TD last week, which is a good sign also.

Potential Stack: Nico Collins ($5.8K DK / $6.8K FD)

  • RB: Gus Edwards ($5.9K DK / $7.1K FD)

Edwards has scored 20.0+ FPs on DK and FD the last two weeks. Edwards is coming off the best game of his season. He had 19 carries for 80 yards and 3 TDs. He found the end zone in Week 7 as well. The Seahawks are allowing 96.9 RYPG (8th) and 1.0 rushing TDs per game (T20).

  • WR: Demario Douglas ($4K DK / $5.4K FD)

With Kendrick Bourne on the IR and DaVante Parker in concussion protocol, Douglas is offering excellent value in NFL DFS Week 9. Douglas has nine receptions in the last two weeks and his target share will be much higher now. If Douglas can score his first TD on the season, he’ll exceed value at this price.

  • TE: Logan Thomas ($3.5K DK / $5.6K FD)

Thomas had six receptions for 44 yards and 1 TD (16.4 FPs on DK and 13.4 FPs on FD) last week. He has been boom or bust this season. The Patriots allow 223.3 PYPG (17th) and 1.4 passing TDs per game (T18). When Thomas scores a TD, he has hit value. He has 6+ targets in three of his last four games.

  • DST: New York Giants ($2.3K DK / $4K FD)

The Giants DST have scored 12.0+ FPs in three of their last four games. They’re the cheapest DST on DK and offer great value, as the Raiders are expected to start rookie Aidan O’Connell. The Giants have allowed 14 points or fewer in the last three weeks. They have had ten sacks in the last two weeks.

Best Bargain Bin Sleepers for NFL DFS Week 9

Here are the top two bargain bin sleepers for NFL DFS Week 9 (one RB and one WR):

  • Royce Freeman ($4.6K DK / $5.7K FD)

Freeman has had 21 carries for 110 yards and 1 TD in the last two weeks. He should continue getting some touches moving forward. He had a one-yard TD last week, which is promising, as he could be in line for more goal-line touches. The Packers allow 132.0 RYPG (26th) and 1.0 rushing TD per game (T20).

  • Jayden Reed ($3.6K DK / $5.7K FD)

Reed is having a good rookie season. He just set a career-high in receiving yards (83) last week. He only has three TDs, but that could change in NFL DFS Week 9. The Rams allowed 218.5 PYPG (13th) and were just lit up by the Cowboys. Reed is a deep threat, and he has a 30+ yard reception in four games already.
