European Soccer Weekly Review – Bundesliga & La Liga Overs

In general, overs were very popular based on the latest set of results from Europe’s top leagues. Serie A and Ligue 1 have typically been low-scoring divisions, but both leagues saw at least 60% of their games have over 2.5 goals in their last round of matches.

However, following trends over the course of the season, Bundesliga and La Liga overs have consistently hit. We have now had back-to-back weeks where over 70% of La Liga matches have seen over 2.5 goals, whilst the Bundesliga always sees high percentages for this metric.

Below, I will be diving into the statistics even further to try and highlight the tactics to utilize the information and the betting trends best. Bettors NEED to be looking at Bundesliga and La Liga overs!

Euro Soccer Betting Trends – German & Spanish Goals

Recently, I highlighted La Liga overs as a popular trend. That has continued this week and if you have regularly kept up to date with my weekly soccer review, you will know that the Bundesliga consistently hits over 2.5 goals.

Week 8 and Week 9 fixtures saw at least 70% of La Liga matches have over 2.5 goals. Despite Week 6 seeing a slight dip in percentages for Bundesliga overs (55.56%), the German top-flight got back to usual standards during Week 7 as 77.78% of games had over 2.5 goals.

The bookmakers are starting to identify these trends, too. As a result, the totals are moving away from over 2.5 goals and are starting to increase. Many matches will now start to only offer value at totals for over 3, 3.5, or 4 goals.

Therefore, it is important to continue to analyze each fixture as it comes and the market and prices that the bookmakers are offering. It may be a good idea to start looking at the market over 3.5 goals to find better value.

  • 44.44% of Bundesliga games during Week 7 saw over 3.5 goals
  • 40% of La Liga games during Week 7 saw over 3.5 goals

Which teams should you look to for Bundesliga and La Liga overs?

Although we can identify specific leagues for these aforementioned trends, it’s a good idea to target the teams that are consistently hitting the overs. Let’s take a look at the teams you should be considering for Bundesliga and La Liga overs:

Bundesliga:

  • Leverkusen & Bayern have both seen over 2.5 goals in 100% of their matches
  • Darmstadt, Mönchengladbach, Mainz, Stuttgart, Werder Bremen, Augsburg and Hoffenheim have all seen 86% of their matches have over 2.5 goals
  • Leverkusen & Bayern have scored the most goals in the division (23), followed by Stuttgart (22)
  • Darmstadt, Bochum, and Mainz have conceded the most goals in the league (19)
  • Stuttgart have seen over 3.5 goals in 86% of their games
  • Bayern, Hoffenheim, Darmstadt, and Werder Bremen have had 71% of their matches see over 3.5 goals

La Liga:

  • Almeria leads the division for over 2.5 goals, with 78% of their matches hitting this market
  • Atletico Madrid have seen over 2.5 goals in 75% of their games
  • Villareal, Real Madrid, Getafe, Girona, Granada, and Barcelona have had 67% of their matches see over 2.5 goals
  • Barcelona have scored the most goals in the league (21), followed by Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid (20)
  • Almeria have conceded the most goals in the league (24), with Granada conceding 23
  • Granada have had 67% of their games have over 3.5 goals
  • Almeria and Barcelona have seen 56% of their matches have over 3.5 goals

European Soccer Weekly Review – Follow Bundesliga and La Liga Overs

Over the course of the start of the season, Bundesliga and La Liga overs have hit on a regular basis. That trend should not be ignored and soccer sharps will continue to look to those markets to earn profits.

Ligue 1 and Serie A both saw an increase in goals for their last round of matches. However, targeting the under for those leagues has been a more regular trend. If you’re wondering “How to Bet on Soccer,” especially in these dynamic leagues, please continue to read my weekly Euro soccer report for updates.

We still have some time before Euro club soccer returns. For now, you can check out my CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers picks. We also have Euro qualifier picks on the way.
