We have a tripleheader to analyze for our CFL Week 14 picks. The Canadian Football League will kick-off the week on Friday with a matchup between the Tiger-Cats and Redblacks.

There’s a tripleheader on Saturday. The BC Lions are on a bye week.

CFL Week 13 Results and Betting Recap

Here are the betting results and scores for CFL Week 13 action:

Favorites went 3-1 (2-1-1 ATS) in Week 13 and are now 31-19 (24-24-2 ATS) on the season. Every game in Week 13 went over the total and the over/under record is 27-24 this season. I (SWJ Sports) ended up going 1-2-1 on my CFL best bets for Week 13 and I’m now 25-19 (+$470) on the season.

Tiger-Cats vs. Redblacks Prediction for Week 14

• When: Friday, September 8th 2023 at 7:30 PM ET
• Where: TD Place in Ottawa, Ontario
• Opening Spread: Redblacks -2.5 / Current Spread: Redblacks -4
• Opening Total: 47.5 Points / Current Total: 47.5 Points

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (4-7 / 4-7 ATS) are 3-2 ATS on the road and 4-4 ATS as an underdog. They’re coming off a double-digit loss. The Ottawa Redblacks (3-8 / 4-7 ATS) are coming off a bye week.

Hamilton rank eighth in scoring (20.7 PPG) and points allowed (27.5 PPG). Ottawa are scoring 22.8 PPG (6th) and allowing 25.7 PPG (5th). Ottawa should have success running the football, as they lead the CFL in rushing yards (127.1 RYPG) and the Tiger-Cats are allowing 119.6 RYPG (8th).

The Ti-Cats will attempt to air it out against the Redblacks passing defense (325.8 PYPG Allowed – 9th). Hamilton are already 2-0 (2-0 ATS) against Ottawa this season. Both games have gone under the total. Ottawa have lost five consecutive games and are 1-3 ATS as a favorite this season.

Alouettes vs. Argonauts Prediction for Week 14

• Where: BMO Field in Toronto, Ontario
• Opening Spread: Argonauts -10.5 / Current Spread: Argonauts -10.5
• Opening Total: 51.5 Points / Current Total: 52.5 Points

The Toronto Argonauts (9-1 / 8-2 ATS) host the Montreal Alouettes (6-5 / 5-6 ATS). Montreal are 0-3 ATS in their last three games and 1-5 ATS as an underdog this season. Toronto are 4-1 ATS at home.

Toronto’s Chad Kelly leads the CFL in QB rating (115.5) and rushing TDs (7). The Argos lead the league in scoring (34.8 PPG) and turnover margin (+11). Toronto allow 23.4 PPG (3rd). Montreal rank fourth in scoring (24.2 PPG) and points allowed (23.6 PPG). The Als have allowed 42 sacks (T8).

The Argonauts defeated the Als in Week 6 (35-27), covering the -6 spread. The game went over the total. The last three H2H games have gone over the total. Toronto have scored 33, 34 and 35 points in the last three H2H games. Toronto have also scored 39+ points in each of their last three games.

Roughriders vs. Blue Bombers Prediction for Week 14

• When: Saturday, September 9th 2023 at 4:00 PM ET
• Where: IG Field in Winnipeg, Manitoba
• Opening Spread: Blue Bombers -8.5 / Current Spread: Blue Bombers -8.5
• Opening Total: 48.5 Points / Current Total: 48 Points

The Saskatchewan Roughriders (6-5 / 6-4-1 ATS) defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (9-3 / 6-6 ATS) last week at home. Winnipeg defeated the Riders in Week 2 (45-27). The H2H season series is split at 1-1 (1-1 ATS). Both of the games went over the total, with both meetings having 60+ points scored.

Winnipeg are 4-2 ATS at home, while the Roughriders are 3-2 ATS on the road. The Blue Bombers rank second in scoring (31.2 PPG) and points allowed (21.4 PPG). The Bombers rank first in yards per game (388.9) and yards per game allowed (299.8), but the team has lacked consistency on the field.

Stampeders vs. Elks Prediction for Week 14

• Where: Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Ontario
• Opening Spread: Elks -1.5 / Current Spread: Elks -2
• Opening Total: 48.5 Points / Current Total: 48.5 Points

The Calgary Stampeders (4-8 / 5-6-1 ATS) defeated the Edmonton Elks (2-10 / 5-6-1 ATS) last week by four points at home. The Elks are 2-4 ATS at home and 1-2 ATS as a favorite this season.

QB Tre Ford has thrown 5 TDs and only 1 INT in four starts. He has added two rushing TDs. Edmonton still rank last in points scored (18.3 PPG), but they’ve improved on defense (26.3 PPG – 6th). Calgary have allowed more points (27.1 PPG – 7th), but they score more points (23.6 PPG – 5th).

Dating back to last season, the Stampeders are 5-0 (3-2 ATS) and the over is 4-1. Edmonton were up 28-13 after three quarters, but the Stamps outscored the Elks 22-3 in the fourth quarter. Calgary are 3-3 ATS on the road. Will they continue to crush Edmonton or can the Elks win two in a row at home?

CFL Week 14 Picks – Best Props

I went 2-0 on my CFL player props last week. For some reason, there are no player props odds released at the time of publishing this week, but I’ll leave you with my best game prop for my CFL Week 14 picks.

I’m backing the Argonauts to win by 1-13 points (+130) this week. Dating back to last season, the Argos are 4-1 SU against the Alouettes and all four wins were by eight points or less. These two rivals typically play each other very tight and I expect another close game at BMO Field on Saturday.
