Cowboys Look to Rebound Against Rested Chargers – October 16

The Dallas Cowboys would love nothing more than to make up for last week’s horrific 42-10 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Tonight, the Cowboys get the chance, but will have to do it on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFI Stadium. The Chargers are extra rested after having had a bye last week. They have not played since Oct. 1.

Here at SportsHub, we’ve been playing all week long. Our handicappers have been hard at work taking care of business. That business would be the loads of NFL content and daily and weekly NFL picks. Bettors can always get themselves prepped for a new week of NFL football by visiting our weekly picks pages

Our experts break down the best games each week and offer up the weekly best bets. You’ll get the best point spread pick, the best player props, and more each week from the best handicappers on the planet. Then, of course, there are all of our handicapper picks. Members have access to our free NFL picks, NFL computer picks, and premium NFL service plays. There are about a dozen picks for tonight’s Cowboys game already.

Cowboys QB Needs to Play Well

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott has to rebound from what may have been his worst game as a pro. Last week, he completed 14-of-24 passes for just 154 yards. He threw a touchdown pass, the only Cowboys touchdown of the game, but also threw three interceptions and was sacked three times. His QB rating for the game was a paltry 49.2.

The running joke on Prescott goes something like this: If Dak Prescott had a favorite number, Cowboys fans bet that he would “pick six.” Haha! Get it? Pick six. No, Prescott didn’t have any of his three picks returned for a touchdown last week, but it’s still funny. The Dallas quarterback will have to play much better tonight if the Cowboys are going to have any chance of winning.

Speaking of winning, you might want to know that the Cowboys are 4-1 straight up in their last five trips to play the Chargers on the road. However, the Cowboys are only 2-4 SU and ATS in their last six games overall against the Bolts. The two teams last played in 2021 in Los Angeles. The Cowboys won 20-17.

Winning Is What We Do

Yes, winning is just something that we are accustomed to here at Sports Hub. Our expert handicappers put in the work and the results show it. These guys carefully select their picks each and every day. Some days, you’ll see that your favorite capper might not have a pick available.

It’s the same for Sports Hub computer picks. It may be a few days before any of our computer picks are released. That’s because of the algorithm that identifies value bets. If there’s no value, there’s no pick. That’s why our computer picks can help you boost your bankroll.

Anyway, Jimmy Liu and a few of our other expert handicappers had great days yesterday. In fact, the top-35 cappers on yesterday’s leaderboard all made at least $100. That sure beats the alternative.

Here’s how the leaderboard shaped up yesterday.

  1. Top Jimmy: For any of our readers that are getting a Van Halen vibe, kudos to you. Our Top Jimmy was Jimmy Liu, who research and discipline has been paying off over the last week. Yesterday, Jimmy went 3-1 and won $360 to lead all cappers. Over the last four days, he is 9-3 and is up $800.

  2. Football expert: MF Picks was perfect yesterday, going 2-0 on two NFL picks to collect $215. The wins were both on underdogs – the Browns +9.5 and the Texans at +115 on the moneyline. That gives MF Picks a 6-4 record in his last 10 picks, all NFL or CFB predictions.
  3. Follow Frankie the Fan: Frankie went 2-0 yesterday and won $200 to finish fourth on the board. He’s got a pick in the system for tonight’s Cowboys-Chargers game. You might want to check it out.
  4. Sports Hub expert picks: The next three guys on the board – Tonny Ricci, Sal Lombardi, and Nick Sabatini – all have some things in common. One is that they are all Sports Hub experts. Two is that they win…a lot. Yesterday, the three combined to go 16-10 and win over $400. Almost all of the picks were on NFL games. Tonny is now our 30-day leader with a winning percentage of 60.87 percent and $1817 in winnings. He’s also got a pick on the Cowboys game tonight.

NFL Upset Alert

How about Upset City in the NFL yesterday? The final two unbeatens – San Francisco and Philadelphia – both lost yesterday. San Francisco was upset by the Browns. The Eagles lost to the Jets after New York RB Breece Hall scored on a late touchdown run.

The Cowboys are a 1.5-point favorite heading into tonight’s game. Is another upset on the horizon? Get the right pick and your best bet for tonight’s game from one of our expert handicappers. Our picks are always trending in the right direction.

Let’s see what else is trending.

  • Sugar, you’re going down: The 49ers lost to Cleveland 19-17 after missing a field goal in the final 10 seconds of the game. San Francisco may have some even bigger losses. The Niners lost stars Deebo Samuel and Christian McCaffrey to injuries and neither player finished the game. No word yet on how serious the injuries are.
  • Baseball upsets too: The Texas Rangers were a short underdog on the road in Game 1 of the ALCS against Houston. The Rangers came through with a 2-0 win. Game 2 is tonight.
  • Backflip selfie: The Miami offense is unstoppable. The Dolphins put up another 42 points in their win over Carolina yesterday. WR Tyreek Hill had six catches for 163 yards and one touchdown. After his 41-yard TD reception from Tua Tagovailoa, Hill recorded himself doing a backflip.
  • QB injuries: There were a number of injuries to NFL quarterbacks yesterday. Some were more serious than others. Josh Allen, Justin Fields, Jimmy Garoppolo, and Ryan Tannehill all suffered injuries in their games yesterday. Be sure to check the injury reports like all of our expert handicappers do.

Cowboys-Chargers Heads Up the Monday Sports Schedule

All eyes are on tonight’s Monday night football matchup between the Cowboys and Chargers. Los Angeles doesn’t want to fall below .500 and lose ground on the Raiders (3-3) and Chiefs (5-1). It’s the same for the Cowboys (3-2) who can gain some ground on the now 5-1 Eagles.

At this time of year, Mondays are not just about football. In addition to the Cowboys game, ther is playoff baseball, NHL hockey, and NBA preseason basketball.

Here’s what’s available for bettors today.

  1. Monday Night Football: The Cowboys have lost two of their last three games. They will try to move to 4-2 with a win over the Los Angeles Chargers tonight. The Chargers (2-2) beat the Raiders at home last week. The top five Sports Hub experts went 14-1 with yesterday’s afternoon NFL games. You might want to find these guys and see if they have picks for tonight’s game. Just sayin’.

  2. Preseason hoops: The NBA preseason continues with six more games tonight. Two of the games pit NBA teams against visiting international teams. The Cleveland Cavaliers will host the Maccabi Ra-Anana team from Israel. Utah will host the New Zealand Breakers, the only non-Australian team in Australia’s National Basketball League.
