Have you locked in your Brazilian Grand Prix predictions? The Formula 1 roadshow visits Sao Paulo this weekend, meaning it’s time to prepare your bets for Sunday’s race.
There may only be three races left this season, but there are still plenty of exciting betting opportunities to take advantage of. Lucky for you, I have scoured the odds to find the best F1 bets for this weekend.
My Brazilian Grand Prix predictions concern the race winner, a podium finish, and a double top-six finish for a promising team. Ready? Let’s get this show on the road.
What Happened at Last Weekend’s Mexican GP?
Before we dive into my 2023 F1 Brazilian Grand Prix predictions and preview, let’s take a quick look at what happened last weekend. You probably won’t be surprised to learn that Max Verstappen triumphed in Mexico City.
MEXICAN GRAND PRIX RESULTS (TOP 5)
- Max Verstappen (2:02:30.814)
- Lewis Hamilton (+13.875s)
- Charles Leclerc (+23.124s)
- Carlos Sainz (+27.154s)
- Lando Norris (+33.266s)
As you can see, Verstappen finished 13 seconds clear of Lewis Hamilton, while Charles Leclerc claimed the third and final podium spot. Remarkably, Verstappen has now won 16 of the 19 races this year.
For the second race weekend in a row, two of my three F1 picks came to fruition. Of course, I backed Verstappen to win the past two races (yawn!), but I have also developed a habit of picking drivers with big odds.
At the United States GP, Yuki Tsunoda (+400) pulled through to finish in the top 10. Last weekend, Hamilton (+700) recorded the fastest lap in Mexico. Let’s hope for more of the same this weekend, right?

Unsurprisingly, Verstappen (-400) is the clear favorite to win the 2023 Brazilian GP. Did you really expect anything else? The three-time world champion has completely dominated the field this year, winning more than 80% of the races!
Following a P2 finish and a fastest lap last weekend, Hamilton (+800) is the bookies’ second favorite this time around. Lando Norris (+1200) is the third favorite, while Sergio Perez (+1800) and Russell (+2000) complete the top five.
Leclerc (+2800) is bound to attract plenty of attention, having finished on the podium last time out. Carlos Sainz (+3300) also snatched P4 in Mexico, making his price very attractive. Could an outsider upset the F1 odds this weekend?
Brazilian Grand Prix Predictions and Picks
Okay, I won’t keep you waiting any longer. Having recapped the Mexican Grand Prix and assessed the odds for this weekend, it’s time for me to share my Brazilian Grand Prix predictions with you.
Not only did I land two of my three F1 picks last weekend, but I also landed two of my three picks for the race prior to that. After nailing four winners across the past two races – including drivers priced at +400 and +700 – I’m super excited to see what happens on Sunday.
Will Verstappen extend his winning streak? Can Hamilton push his rival all the way? And what about a McLaren domination in Sao Paulo? Here are my Brazilian Grand Prix predictions and picks.
Max Verstappen to Win (-400)
There are no prizes for guessing who I’m backing to win the Brazilian GP! With 13 victories under his belt already this season, Verstappen is the only logical pick when it comes to predicting the winner of this weekend’s race.
Not only has Verstappen won each of the last four races, but he has also won 14 of the previous 15. The dominant Red Bull driver has broken countless records this season, and he won’t take his foot off the gas until the final lap of the final race.
I’m aware that I keep going on about Verstappen’s odds, but a price of -400 isn’t too bad when you consider his dominance. I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again – back Verstappen and don’t overthink it.
Lewis Hamilton to Finish on the Podium (-175)
Following a retirement in Qatar and a disqualification in the United States, Hamilton returned to the podium in Mexico. The seven-time world champion finished second last time out, reminding everyone of his undeniable talent.
Hamilton now has six podium finishes to his name this year, having recorded three P2 finishes and three P3 finishes. It is also worth noting that he has finished in the top six on no fewer than 16 occasions in 2023, highlighting his consistency.
With that in mind, I’m backing the Mercedes man to finish in the top three on Sunday. With other drivers faltering to deceive, Hamilton is arguably the second-best driver on the grid right now.
Both McLaren Drivers to Finish in the Top 6 (+130)
There is no hiding the fact that McLaren experienced a shaky start to the season. However, the British team has upped its game in recent months, with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri producing a series of standout results.
Across the past 11 races, Norris has achieved eight top-five finishes and six podiums. Across the past ten races, Piastri has achieved four top-five finishes and two podiums. All the signs point towards another successful weekend for the McLaren duo.
With that in mind, backing both McLaren drivers to finish in the top six makes a lot of sense. If Piastri can match Norris’ consistency in Sao Paulo, we could be looking at another big profit in our F1 betting account.
Finalize Your Brazilian Grand Prix Predictions
Of course, you could bet against Verstappen if you’re feeling lucky, but I don’t recommend it. The world champ is on a totally different level at the moment, meaning we need to accept the low odds and back him regardless.
My other Brazilian Grand Prix predictions are excellent value, though. I really like the look of Hamilton finishing on the podium, and I can see both McLaren drivers finishing in the top six for a tasty +130 win.
