Another international break is upon us and so Sports Hub has provided you with FIFA 2026 World Cup Qualifiers CONMEBOL Picks!
It is now Round 5 for CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers and the standings are starting to shape up. World champions Argentina are expectedly leading the pack, whilst Bolivia sit rock bottom. Meanwhile, Brazil needs to show some improvement.
With another five fixtures on show this week, I have been researching all the data and betting statistics to give you the best CONMEBOL picks! Let’s get started.
CONMEBOL Recap & Update
CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers are well and truly underway now and we have now reached Round 5. However, let’s take a quick look at Round 3 and Round 4 summaries before we get into the next set of CONMEBOL picks.
Having now had four rounds of matches, we are starting to get a better idea of which South American teams are going to perform the best during qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
Unsurprisingly, world champions Argentina have a 100% record through four matches. However, it appears to be a close contest between the likes of Brazil, Uruguay, Venezuela and Colombia at the moment.
Round 3 Summary
We saw a surprise result for Brazil during Round 3 as they dropped points at home to Venezuela. Eduard Bello scored a late equalizer for the away side in what was an impressive draw. Check out the full list of results from Round 3:
- Brazil 1-1 Venezuela
- Chile 2-0 Peru
- Bolivia 1-2 Ecuador
- Argentina 1-0 Paraguay
- Colombia 2-2 Uruguay
Chile finally found their first victory of World Cup qualification, whilst Argentina secured their third successive triumph as they begin their title defense in fantastic fashion. Ecuador picked up consecutive victories with their win away to Bolivia. Meanwhile, Colombia played out an exciting 2-2 draw at home to Uruguay.
Three games saw both teams score, whilst only two saw over 2.5 goals. Now that we are starting to accumulate a larger volume of results, it will be easier to identify consistent betting trends.

Round 4 Summary
It was more disappointment for five-time World Cup champions Brazil as they dropped points once again during Round 4. They suffered a 2-0 defeat away to Uruguay and they are now without a win in two heading into Round 5. Below you can find the full list of results from Round 4:
- Peru 0-2 Argentina
- Uruguay 2-0 Brazil
- Ecuador 0-0 Colombia
- Paraguay 1-0 Bolivia
- Venezuela 3-0 Chile
It was business as usual for La Albiceleste as they defeated Peru 2-0 in Lima. It was Lionel Messi magic as his brace secured all three points. It is now three successive draws for Colombia as they played out a goalless stalemate away to Ecuador.
However, Paraguay recorded their first win of qualification against basement-dwellers Bolivia. Meanwhile, Venezuela continue to impress as they comfortably defeated Chile 3-0 and are now unbeaten across their last three.
CONMEBOL Qualifiers – Betting Trends
Four sets of results are now complete for South American World Cup qualifiers. That means we can start to recognize consistent betting trends to aid our CONMEBOL picks. Here are some basic tendencies that I have found so far:
- Argentina are the only team in CONMEBOL qualifiers to still boast a 100% record through four matches
- Bolivia have lost all four games and are the only nation yet to pick up a single point
- Bolivia and Peru are yet to record a victory during qualification
- Argentina and Colombia are the only teams left yet to suffer a defeat
- Uruguay have scored the most goals during qualification thus far (8)
- Brazil and Argentina have also performed well in front of goal (7)
- Peru are still yet to score their first goal
- Paraguay (1) and Bolivia (2) are other low-scoring teams
- Argentina are yet to concede a goal thus far
- Venezuela, Colombia and Paraguay have conceded just two goals
- Bolivia have conceded the most goals during qualifiers so far (11)
However, like in my weekly Euro soccer reports, I like to dig a little deeper when it comes to finding the best betting trends. Check out some more advanced statistics below:
- 75% of matches for Uruguay and Bolivia have seen over 2.5 goals
- 100% of Bolivia’s home games have had over 2.5 goals
- 100% of away games for Uruguay and Chile have had over 2.5 goals
- Peru and Paraguay have seen 100% of their games have under 2.5 goals
- Chile and Argentina have seen 100% of their home games have under 2.5 goals
- Argentina have seen 75% of their qualifiers have under 2.5 goals and 100% of their matches have seen both teams fail to score
- 75% of games for Brazil, Venezuela and Colombia have hit the under 2.5 goals market
- 100% of away games for Brazil, Colombia and Venezuela have seen under 2.5 goals

World Cup CONMEBOL Picks – Venezuela vs Ecuador Prediction
An in-form Venezuela play host to Felix Sanchez’s Ecuador at Estadio Monumental this week. Let’s take a look at the latest money line odds for the first of my CONMEBOL picks:
- Venezuela (+215)
- Draw (+200)
- Ecuador (+131)
The home side have been in fine form of late and head into this one having gone unbeaten across their last three. That includes a 1-1 draw away to Brazil and a comprehensive 3-0 victory at home to Chile last time out. Venezuela have won both of their home matches thus far, without conceding a goal too.
Ecuador have also had an extremely solid opening to 2026 World Cup qualification. Despite losing 1-0 away to Argentina in their opener, they are also unbeaten in their three games since and have an identical record to Venezuela. They drew 0-0 at home to Colombia in their last match.
The money line suggests it will be a close match and so do the statistics. However, I like the value of Venezuela to win, especially on home soil.
BEST BET: Venezuela (+215)
World Cup CONMEBOL Picks – Colombia vs Brazil Prediction
Next up for CONMEBOL picks sees Colombia take on Brazil from Estadio Metropolitano. Below you can find the current money line odds for the match:
- Colombia (+230)
- Draw (+205)
- Brazil (+122)
Both Colombia and Brazil have had steady starts to their respective qualifying campaigns and just one point separates them, with the latter currently on top. Nonetheless, the hosts remain undefeated, whilst Brazil suffered their first loss in their most recent outing.
La Tricolor opened their qualifiers with a 1-0 win at home to Venezuela but have since drawn all three, including two 0-0 stalemates.
It was a fine start for Seleção as they took full points from their opening two matches. However, they have failed to win any of their last two, drawing 1-1 at home to Venezuela before losing 2-0 away to Uruguay.
I like a couple of selections for this match so make sure you sign in to Sports Hub to see what I have gone for.

World Cup CONMEBOL Picks – Argentina vs Uruguay Prediction
The final one of my CONMEBOL picks will come from Argentina vs Uruguay as the two nations go head-to-head at La Bombonera. Check out the latest money line prices for the encounter here:
- Argentina (-185)
- Draw (+280)
- Uruguay (+500)
Lionel Scaloni’s Argentina continue to demonstrate just how good they are. Including friendly matches, they have kept eight straight clean sheets since lifting the World Cup trophy last winter. They have won all four of their opening qualifying matches too.
As for Uruguay, they have had a steady start to their qualifiers and have won two, drawn one and lost one so far. They recorded an impressive 2-0 victory at home to Brazil last time out and currently sit in second-place in the standings.
