Final Month of MLB Regular Season Will Deliver – Sept 13

The MLB regular season continues to get closer to its end. Only one team – Atlanta – has clinched a spot in the postseason. Three teams – Oakland, Kansas City, and Colorado – have been eliminated from postseason play. There is still plenty of meaningful baseball left to be played despite the fact that the NCAA football and NFL seasons have started.

Don’t forget to check out our weekly NCAA football picks page to get yourself ready for a college football Saturday. Actually, you can use the weekly page to get ready for the games on Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday. Our Sports Hub experts work hard to bring you the best analysis, reviews, and picks for the top games each week.

Sports Hub Experts Nailing MLB Picks Again

As I had mentioned yesterday, Tuesday was one of the slower sports days of the year. There just wasn’t much on the sports schedule other than MLB and soccer. There was just enough between the two sports to give our Sports Hub experts the chance to work their magic. And, that they did.

Two of the top-3 cappers yesterday were our very own Sports Hub guys. Even on a slow day, our handicappers still get it done. There were also 29 guys on the leaderboard that ended up making at least $100 yesterday. That beats the alternative, of course. And, don’t forget to join Sports Hub. Do it for the free picks. They were hot again yesterday.

Let’s take a look at yesterday’s leaderboard.

Final Month of MLB Regular Season Will Deliver
Another Great Day for Sports Hub Cappers!
  • Pro Picks – Ben tops the board: Ben went 2-0 yesterday hitting both of his MLB picks. One of those was the Colorado Rockies – the only NL team eliminated from the postseason already – as a +166 underdog. Ben topped the board with $266 in winnings.
  • Sports Hub expert rules: If you’ve been around Sports Hub, you know the name Al Grant. He’s a hockey genius and he’s actually our No. 2-ranked NBA capper. Yesterday, he showed off his MLB skills with two wins for $200. Over the last three days, Al is 6-2 and has winnings of $401. Sports Hub members have full access to guys like Al and their picks. Just sayin’.
  • Once again, Sports Hub experts rule: Rounding out yesterday’s top-3 was yet another Sports Hub expert – Hunter Price. He only made one pick, but he made it count wagering on Germany in an international friendly soccer match. Hunter dropped the mic with his one pick and collected $210!
  • It’s FREE!: Every now and then, I do point out that anybody who reads my daily report should join Sports Hub. There are many benefits, but here’s a big one. Sports Hub FREE PICKS. We offer free picks almost every day. Yesterday, we released two free picks. They were both for MLB games and both were winners. If you had followed Sports Hub FREE PICKS for the last three days, you would have a record of 6-2 and earnings of $385. Over the last 60 days, our free picks have a winning percentage of over 55 percent!

MLB Teams, Players Trending

As a sports fan and bettor, you’re probably aware that the MLB regular season is in its last month. Only one team – the Atlanta Braves – has clinched a spot in the postseason. Atlanta is likely headed to the No. 1 seed in the National League postseason. Baltimore has the AL No. 1 seed right now, though that could change.

There is a lot going on in late season MLB right now. With college and NFL football both starting their seasons, MLB sometimes gets lost at this time of year. It’s definitely not lost on some of these teams and players that are among the top trends in sports right now.

Let’s take a look.

  • Olson again: So, yesterday Braves slugger Matt Olson was trending after hitting his 49th and 50th homers the day before. Olson just tied the Braves franchise record with his 51st blast last night. Olson has homered in 7 of his last 10 MLB games.
  • Pitchers hurt: Max Scherzer (13-6) left last night’s Texas win over Toronto in the sixth inning with a triceps spasm. San Diego has shut down Yu Darvish (8-10) for the rest of the season due to an elbow injury.
  • The Jets: With QB Aaron Rodgers officially done for the season with a torn Achilles tendon, there has been plenty of emotion and speculation involving the Jets. Some seem to forget that they did win on Monday night and still have one of the best defenses in the NFL. Just ask Bills QB Josh Allen. Whether the Jets can navigate through this adversity will be a hot topic all season long.
  • Sports Hub experts: What if you could win 55 to 58 percent of your bets? How about you just follow Sports Hub experts Ben Miller (55.36%) and Robert Ferguson (57.56%) Over the past 90 days, if you would have made their 309 picks, you would have nailed 241 of them. But even better…you’d have a bankroll with an extra $4922 in it!

Another Slow Day in Sports

Yesterday was a lighter day in sports. There was baseball and there was soccer. We get more MLB and international soccer today, but we also have some hoops added in there. It’s all good though as we take another day to prepare ourselves for another weekend full of football. It still doesn’t get any better than this time of year.

As we prepare for another football weekend, let’s see what’s on today’s schedule.

  1. It’s playoff time!: That would be the WNBA playoffs, which begin tonight. Minnesota plays at Connecticut in the first game tonight. Chicago plays at top-seeded Las Vegas. The Aces were the favorite to win it all for most of the season. The No. 2 seeded New York Liberty have taken over as the favorite to win the WNBA title. The Liberty beat the Aces three times during the season.
  1. Race for MLB wild cards: With a 95-50 record, the Atlanta Braves are the only MLB team that has clinched a playoff spot. The Dodgers have a 13-game lead in the NL West and the Twins lead the AL Central by 7.5 games. The other divisions are still up for grabs as are the three wild card spots in each league. Today’s schedule is a full one with 15 games on tap.
  2. Spanish Copa: The Spanish Copa de la Reina is an annual cup competition for Spanish women’s association soccer teams. There are 16 matches today as the competition begins. Atletico Madrid is the reigning champion.
  3. Other soccer: The Copa de la Reina is not the only soccer being played today. There are a few matches in several international leagues. If you’re looking to bet on soccer today, the South American leagues have several matches being played today.

It’s another semi-slow day in the sports world. It’s that little lull before the storm as we get ready for another long weekend of football. We’ll have Thursday night college and NFL football tomorrow, which will tease us into another glorious Saturday and Sunday. Don’t forget to check our weekly NFL picks pages to get ready for the weekend. For now, MLB and soccer will keep us occupied. Check back tomorrow to see how your favorite Sports Hub handicappers did today.
