Maalik Murphy to Oregon State
Former Duke and Texas quarterback Maalik Murphy has committed to Oregon State, bringing his talent to the Beavers with two years of eligibility remaining. Murphy announced his decision on social media, stating, “Let’s get to work Beaver Nation!”
Murphy had a record-setting season at Duke, throwing for 26 touchdowns and 2,933 yards while completing 254 of 421 passes. The 6-foot-5 signal-caller previously spent three years at Texas, where he started two games in 2023 during Quinn Ewers’ injury. At Oregon State, Murphy is expected to start and compete with backups Gabarri Johnson and Kallen Gutridge.

Clemson Lands Purdue Edge Rusher Will Heldt
Clemson secured a rare transfer under head coach Dabo Swinney with the addition of Purdue edge rusher Will Heldt. Heldt, who made 56 tackles (10 for loss), five sacks, and a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown in 2024, becomes the first defensive player to transfer into Clemson during Swinney’s tenure.

Purdue has secured Arkansas quarterback Malachi Singleton, a dual-threat talent who showed promise as a freshman. Singleton completed 75 percent of his passes (21 of 28) for 358 yards and accounted for four total touchdowns (one passing, three rushing) in limited action for the Razorbacks.

Quinten Joyner Joins Texas Tech
Southern California running back Quinten Joyner has committed to Texas Tech, joining a program that has already secured 15 incoming transfers this offseason, the most in the FBS. Joyner rushed for 478 yards and three touchdowns on 63 carries in 2024 while adding 12 receptions for 89 yards and a score.
