Today’s Sports Schedule 

It’s a beautiful Friday here in scenic Costa Rica. It’s a day full of betting opportunities for savvy bettors in search of their next win. The schedule is chock full of sports, which is something you usually don’t associate with a Friday in the first week of August.

The baseball schedule is full and we even see the start of some baseball for little guys (and girls). CFL Week 9 continues and there’s golf and tennis available for connoisseurs of those sports. 2. LLWS: It’s time for the Little League World Series again. The regional tournaments started yesterday for both the Little League Baseball World Series and the Little League Softball World Series. The LLWS tournament in Williamsport, PA, begins on August 16.
3. CFL: The last remaining unbeaten, Toronto (6-0), travels to Calgary to take on the Stampeders. The Argonauts are also 6-0 ATS this season. Toronto has covered in three of its wins by double digits.
4. Soccer: There’s no women’s World Cup action today as teams prepare for the start of the Round of 16 on Saturday. But, take your pick. • Debut pitchers: Max Scherzer got off to a slow start but picked it up to strike out 9 and beat the Chicago White Sox in his first start as a Texas Ranger. Jack Flaherty got his first win as a Baltimore Oriole pitching six innings, allowing one run, while striking out eight. 
• Big 12 or bust: Arizona is likely headed to the Big 12. That marks the second Pac-12 team to exit the conference. Rumors are starting about Arizona State following their in-state rivals. As I mentioned yesterday, Washington and Oregon are looking to make the move to the Big Ten. 
• Diana Taurasi: The WNBA great became the first player in league history to score 10,000 career points. Taurasi, who is in her 19th season, became the WNBA’s leading scorer in 2017. 

• Football is back: Thank God! The NFL Hall of Fame game took place last night and, while it was mostly guys fighting for an NFL roster spot, it was still football.
