NBA Props Yesterday
If you have never wagered on NBA props, the market is full of great, exciting bets. The typical NBA props bets are statistics-based. In yesterday’s NBA action, we saw two great examples of these statistics-based NBA props. Phoenix played at the Orlando Magic last night. The Suns lost the game 113-98, but those who bet on Kevin Durant’s assists prop could have been winners.
Durant’s assists prop was set at 4.5 and the play was on the Over. Teammate Bradley Beal was questionable for the game against the Magic. He did play, but clearly wasn’t himself, finishing with just nine points. Durant, it was believed, would pick up some of the slack, distributing the ball to his teammates. That he did and Durant finished with five assists, cashing a winner for those who bet on the Over.
Another solid NBA props wager yesterday was on the Under on Jaren Jackson Jr.’s points total prop. One of the most popular NBA props is betting on a player to go Over or Under his points total. Yesterday, Jackson’s points total was set at 31.5. Jackson has put up some big numbers lately because of all the injuries the Grizzlies have had. However, he only went Over 31.5 once the entire month of January. Bettors that took the Under were winners yesterday.
Leaderboard Looks Familiar Again
What has ten legs and wins 100 percent of its bets? That would be five Sports Hub handicappers at the top of yesterday’s leaderboard. The overall leader, Knup Sports, had an outstanding day as well, hitting on 14 of their 20 predictions yesterday to add $730 to their bankroll. The next five cappers on the board were all Sports Hub experts…and each one was perfect!
Let’s take a look.
- Leader of the pack: Knup Sports went 14-6 yesterday to earn $730. Most of the picks were either NBA or college basketball. Yesterday’s leader hit on 5 of 6 NBA picks. None of those were NBA props though.
- Killin’ it: Ross Walker is absolutely killing it. He went 4-0 yesterday to win $400, which gives him a three-day total of $688. For the week, Ross is up $688 (13-5). Over the last two weeks, he’s 26-10 with $1801 in winnings and he’s third on the 30-day leaderboard hitting 65.4 percent of his picks with $2623 earned.
- Bobby Babowski: Championship Sunday was good to Bobby. He nailed both conference championship games plus an NBA game to go 3-0 and take home $300.
- Three amigos: Three of Sports Hub’s finest all went 2-0 yesterday. James Acker backed the Kraken -1.5 over Columbus in NHL action. Seattle won 4-2 and James ended up taking home $210 yesterday. Kyle Buchman and Neal Harris each went 2-0 and won $200.
Super Bowl LVIII Is Set
Yesterday’s conference championship games gave fans exactly what they were looking for. They were both great games, both exciting to watch, and if you had tailed some of our finest Sports Hub handicappers, you might have added a little jingle in your pockets.
We now have the two teams that will play for the 58th Lombardi Trophy. The NFL, of course, is the big news today, but there is more out there.
Here’s today’s trending sports news.
- Chiefs advance again: For the fourth time in five years, the Kansas City Chiefs will play for a Super Bowl championship. They will have the opportunity to become the first team since the New England Patriots to repeat as champions. Yesterday, the Chiefs stifled the Baltimore Ravens offense and won the AFC title, 17-10.
- Niners look for redemption: With San Francisco’s 34-31 come-from-behind victory over Detroit in the NFC title game, the 49ers will have a chance to redeem themselves from a Super Bowl LIV loss to the Chiefs. Detroit led 24-7 at the half, but QB Brock Purdy led a furious comeback.

- SB LVIII favorite: The 49ers opened as the early Super Bowl favorite. San Francisco is a 2.5-point favorite. Kansas City was a 1.5-point underdog last year as well and won. The Chiefs are 2-1 ATS in the last four Super Bowls.
A Look at Monday’s Sports
After a championship Sunday like that, today might seem anticlimatic. Still, there is a full slate of NBA games where bettors will have tons of NBA props from which to choose. NBA props keep bettors dialed into games. They are also great bets when you can’t make a decision on a side.
Anyway, let’s take a look at today’s schedule.
- NBA: There are 12 games on the schedule tonight. Phoenix is in Miami playing its second game in a row in Florida. Maybe you should check out Durant’s NBA props for tonight? Just sayin’. The Suns-Heat game is the first of NBATV’s doubleheader. The Sixers play at Portland in the other.

- NCAA: The top two teams in the country won yesterday. There’s not a lot of action tonight – 17 games total. No. 4 Houston and No. 12 Duke are both in action. Both play on the road against a conference opponent.
- NHL: The NHL is closing in on the All-Star break. Just one game on the schedule tonight – Nashville is at Ottawa. The league goes on break beginning Thursday, Feb. 1.
- Soccer: There is one match each in La Liga and the English FA Cup. Other than those, it’s mostly second-tier professional league play around the world.
- Tennis: As mentioned yesterday, the Australian Open is complete, but there are tournaments on both the ATP and WTA Tours happening now. The men are competing in the Open Sud de France. The women are playing the Thailand Open and the Upper Austria Ladies Linz.
That’s it for this Monday. It was a wild Sunday with all the NFL action. It quiets down a little now as we prepare for what it’s like without football for the next six or so months. The NHL is nearing its All-Star break and the NBA will hit its break in mid-February. College basketball is heating up with all of its conference action. Just because there won’t be any football doesn’t mean there won’t be tons of betting action.
