Jake Bauers lined a walk-off single with the bases loaded in the ninth inning, giving the Milwaukee Brewers a 2-1 victory over the visiting Philadelphia Phillies in the finale of a three-game series between division leaders.

Bauers’ Game-Winning Moment

Rookie Jackson Chourio started the ninth inning with a leadoff triple, setting up Bauers’ game-winning hit off Carlos Estevez (4-5). William Contreras was intentionally walked and advanced to second on catcher’s indifference before Bauers drove the first pitch down the right field line, clinching Milwaukee’s 11th walk-off win of the season.

Brewers Clinch NL Central Title

Milwaukee officially secured the NL Central title earlier in the day, courtesy of the Chicago Cubs’ 5-3 loss to Oakland. This marks the Brewers’ second consecutive division title and their fourth in the past seven seasons.

Phillies starter Aaron Nola struck out nine over seven innings, allowing just one run, while Brewers’ Freddy Peralta also fanned nine across five innings.
