Shota Imanaga threw seven innings of a combined no-hitter as the Chicago Cubs dominated the Pittsburgh Pirates 12-0 on Wednesday. Nate Pearson and Porter Hodge each pitched a perfect inning to complete the 18th no-hitter in Cubs history.
Imanaga (12-3) delivered a brilliant performance, striking out seven batters and walking two over 95 pitches. This was the first time the Pirates were no-hit since Lucas Giolito of the Chicago White Sox achieved the feat on August 25, 2020.

The Chicago White Sox snapped their 12-game losing streak with a commanding 8-1 victory against the Baltimore Orioles. Jonathan Cannon (3-9) delivered a strong performance, working 5 2/3 innings while allowing just one run.

Kyle Schwarber homered for the fourth time in two games as the Philadelphia Phillies secured a 4-2 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. Cristopher Sanchez pitched seven effective innings, helping Philadelphia complete a sweep of the two-game series.
Schwarber’s solo blast followed his three-home-run game on Tuesday. Kody Clemens and J.T. Realmuto also homered for the Phillies, who won the season series 3-1 over Toronto.

Astros starter Spencer Arrighetti (7-12) lasted just two-thirds of an inning, giving up nine runs on six hits before being pulled.
Braves 5, Rockies 2: Jarred Kelenic’s Homer Sparks Atlanta to Victory
Jarred Kelenic hit a three-run homer in the first inning, helping the Atlanta Braves secure a 5-2 win over the Colorado Rockies. Braves starter Charlie Morton (8-7) struck out eight batters over five innings, allowing only two runs.
Colorado starter Bradley Blalock (1-2) struggled early but managed to settle down, working five innings and allowing just four runs.
Mariners 16, Athletics 3: Seattle Offense Explodes in Series Finale
Luis Urias homered and drove in four runs as the Seattle Mariners crushed the Oakland Athletics 16-3. Mitch Garver also added four RBIs as Seattle rebounded from dropping the first two games of the series.
Oakland’s JP Sears (11-10) gave up five runs over six innings, as the Athletics failed to sustain their recent strong performance.

Jesse Winker hit a grand slam in the first inning, leading the New York Mets to an 8-3 win over the Boston Red Sox. The Mets completed a three-game series sweep and extended their winning streak to seven games.

Carlos Santana homered for the Twins, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Tampa Bay’s offensive onslaught.
Rangers 10, Yankees 6: Texas Outduels New York in High-Scoring Game
Nathan Eovaldi pitched seven strong innings, while Wyatt Langford and Ezequiel Duran each went 3-for-4 with two RBIs to help the Texas Rangers defeat the New York Yankees 10-6. Eovaldi (11-7) allowed just two runs over his seven innings.
Juan Soto was a bright spot for New York, going 3-for-3 with a home run, but the Yankees have now lost six of their last eight games.
Angels 10, Dodgers 1: Anaheim Dominates Rival LA with Power Surge
Griffin Canning allowed just one run over 6 2/3 innings, and the Los Angeles Angels used three home runs to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 10-1. Mickey Moniak’s three-run homer led the way, and Taylor Ward and Niko Kavadas also went deep for the Angels.
Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani went hitless in four at-bats as the Dodgers managed just six hits in the game.

Zac Gallen threw six no-hit innings as the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the San Francisco Giants 6-4. Eugenio Suarez and Pavin Smith both homered for Arizona, which handed the Giants their fourth straight loss.
Gallen (11-6) allowed no hits and struck out six in his dominant outing, bouncing back after a rough previous start.
