Jimmy Butler made a strong return from injury, dropping a season-high 30 points, along with 10 rebounds and five assists, to lead Miami to a come-from-behind victory over visiting Philadelphia.

The Heat trailed by as many as 19 points in the second quarter but used a dominant third quarter led by Tyler Herro, who scored 16 of his 18 points during that frame, to secure just their second home win of the season.

Rookie Jared McCain paced the 76ers with 20 points, while Paul George added 18. Joel Embiid, who was questionable due to illness, finished with 11 points, eight rebounds, and five assists as Philadelphia dropped its third straight game.

Bucks 101, Rockets 100

Damian Lillard delivered in the clutch, scoring the game-winning layup with 3.9 seconds left as Milwaukee narrowly defeated Houston to end the Rockets’ five-game winning streak.

Lillard scored the Bucks’ final seven points, including an assist to AJ Green for a key 3-pointer. Brook Lopez led Milwaukee with 27 points, adding 10 rebounds and four blocks. Giannis Antetokounmpo contributed 20 points, 13 rebounds, and a crucial block on Alperen Sengun late in the game.

Fred VanVleet led the Rockets with 26 points, while Sengun added 18 points and nine rebounds.


Clippers 102, Warriors 99

Norman Powell scored 23 points, and Ivica Zubac pulled down 17 rebounds as the Clippers edged Golden State in a nail-biter in Inglewood, Calif.

James Harden chipped in with 12 points and 16 assists as Los Angeles extended its home winning streak to five games. The Clippers held off potential game-tying 3-point attempts by Stephen Curry and Gary Payton II in the final seconds. Curry led all scorers with 26 points, while Andrew Wiggins added 22 for Golden State.


Bulls 122, Pistons 112

Nikola Vucevic recorded 29 points and 12 rebounds to propel Chicago to a road win over Detroit.

Zach LaVine and Coby White each scored 25 points for the Bulls, who bounced back after allowing 144 and 143 points in their previous two losses. Josh Giddey contributed 11 points, 10 assists, and eight rebounds.

Cade Cunningham led the Pistons with 26 points and 10 assists, while Malik Beasley provided 21 points off the bench.

Raptors 130, Pacers 119

RJ Barrett erupted for a season-high 39 points, and Jakob Poeltl tallied 30 points and 15 rebounds as Toronto snapped a seven-game losing streak with a victory over Indiana.

Barrett scored 15 points in the fourth quarter to hold off a Pacers team led by Bennedict Mathurin, who scored 28 points, and former Raptor Pascal Siakam, who added 25 points and 10 rebounds. Indiana has now dropped three of its last four games.


Knicks 134, Wizards 106

Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns each recorded double-doubles as the Knicks dominated Washington at Madison Square Garden.

Brunson finished with 26 points and 11 assists, while Towns tallied 24 points and 12 rebounds for New York, which has won three straight.

Washington, which has lost nine consecutive games, was led by Carlton Carrington, Jonas Valanciunas, and Corey Kispert, each contributing 18 points.


Magic 109, Suns 99

Franz Wagner tied his season-high with 32 points, helping Orlando extend its winning streak to six games with a road victory over shorthanded Phoenix.

Orlando’s Anthony Black posted season highs in points (20) and assists (9), while Goga Bitadze added 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Phoenix played without stars Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal for the sixth and fourth straight games, respectively. Tyus Jones led the Suns with 18 points and eight assists.

Hawks 109, Kings 108

Dyson Daniels made a game-saving defensive play, swiping the ball from De’Aaron Fox just before the buzzer to preserve Atlanta’s narrow victory in Sacramento.

Fox, who scored 28 points to bring his three-game total to 137, was seeking a game-winner when Daniels disrupted his shot attempt. De’Andre Hunter led Atlanta with 24 points off the bench, while Keon Ellis posted career highs of 33 points and nine 3-pointers for the Kings.
