Thomas, 29, agreed to a two-year, $8 million contract to join his hometown Dallas Cowboys. A 2017 third-overall draft pick by the San Francisco 49ers, Thomas had a major knee injury in 2020 before signing with the New York Jets in 2022. He has 18.5 sacks in 115 career games (34 starts) and posted nine sacks in three seasons with the Jets. Thomas, who grew up in Coppell, Texas, reunites with defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton, now on Dallas’ staff.

Grant, 27, is signing a one-year deal with the 49ers, per ESPN. A 2021 second-round pick by the Atlanta Falcons, Grant compiled 275 tackles, three sacks, three interceptions and four forced fumbles in 67 games (33 starts). Most of his starting experience came over the past two seasons, with his final year in Atlanta featuring a larger role on special teams.

Entering his ninth season, Dixon is reportedly signing a two-year, $6 million contract with the Buccaneers. The 31-year-old spent the last two seasons with the Denver Broncos, averaging 46.7 yards on 77 punts in 2024. Over 148 career games, Dixon has averaged 45.9 yards per punt (668 punts).
