NFL wild card weekend is finally here. Six games that start today. Three more on Sunday and even a Monday night playoff game. It’s a glorious weekend that should provide us with some great football. It’s also an opportunity to either add to our bankroll or recover from a season where we didn’t have the success that we wanted.

One way to get to that betting success is to join Sports Hub. I spout off each and every day about our exclusive handicappers as well as our partners around the world. NFL Wild Card Game – Browns vs. Texans

There are two games today to start NFL wild card weekend. The early game pits Cleveland at Houston. The Browns earned the top NFL wild card in the AFC with an 11-6 record during the regular season. They had quite a finish after inserting Joe Flacco into the lineup at quarterback. Cleveland won four straight with Flacco before sitting a bunch of starters in the season finale against Cincinnati.

The Texans won two straight, both division games, to win the AFC South and earn the No. 4 seed in the playoffs. Rookie QB C.J. Stroud has been outstanding and is the overwhelming favorite to win the NFL Rookie of the Year award. Most sportsbooks have him listed around -4000 to -5000 to win. The Texans haven’t played on an NFL wild card weekend since winning four AFC South titles in five seasons from 2015 to 2019.

NFL Wild Card Game – Dolphins vs. Chiefs

In the second game of this NFL wild card Saturday, the Miami Dolphins travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs. If you remember, these two teams played during the regular season. It was in one of the NFL Germany games. Kansas City’s defense held the Dolphins to 292 yards of total offfense and just 14 points in a 21-14 win.

Tyreek Hill returns to Kansas City

One of the biggest factors in today’s game will be the weather. Temperatures at Arrowhead Stadium are expected to be in the single digits and could possibly drop below zero. The Dolphins have been practicing throughout the week in 70- and 80-degree weather. Tyreek Hill makes his return to Kansas City where he started his career and won a couple Super Bowl rings. There are about a dozen picks for this game right now in our database. Several of those picks are from guys near the top of our NFL leaderboard this season. You’ll have to join Sports Hub (if you haven’t already) to find out who they are and how they’re picking tonight NFL wild card game.

Scott’s Picks on top again!
  • Scott’s Picks: For the second consecutive day, Scott tore it up. He went 7-1 and won $590. That gives him a two-day total of 13-2 and $1080 in winnings. Scott has also taken over the lead on our overall 30-day leaderboard. Over the past month, Scott has correctly predicted 57.1 percent of his picks and has earned a whopping $2798! With his current hot streak, I’m thinking you definitely want to see if Scott has any NFL wild card picks today.
  • Sal is back: Sal Lombardi is our old-school capper who loves hockey and baseball but last night crushed some NBA. Sal went 6-3 and earned $335 to wind up second behind Scott.
  • Third place: Jimmy Liu and Patrick Doyle both went 3-0 yesterday and they each pocketed $300 for nailing their three picks. Jimmy has had himself a great week, going 14-6 and earning $744. Over the past three days, Patrick is 6-1 and has added $490 to his bankroll.
  • Round out the top-5: Yes, another Sports Hub expert rounded out yesterday’s top-5. That would be Evan Lewis who went 2-0 and won $200. Over the last week, Evan has gone 10-6 and earned $345.

Bama Has a New Head Coach

It didn’t take long for Alabama to name the successor to Nick Saban. The weight of the world now falls on former Washington head coach Kalen DeBoer who took his Huskies to the College Football Playoff this season. DeBoer has had a meteoric rise from an NAIA head coach to running one of the premier programs in college football.

He’s not the only thing trending.

  • New Alabama head coach: DeBoer has served as a head coach at four different institutions. Three of those were FBS programs. His overall record is a ridiculous 104-12. That’s nine seasons as a head coach. His teams have never lost more than three games in a season. Both happened at Fresno State and one was during the COVID season in 2020. The Crimson Tide are third on the board at +800 to win next year’s CFP.
  • NFL wild card: Just in case…it’s NFL wild card weekend! There are two games today. A late afternoon game (Cleveland-Houston) and a primetime game (Miami-Kansas City). The winners advance to next weekend’s divisional round.
  • The weather: The Kansas City weather is expected to bring dangerously cold temperatures to tonight’s NFL wild card game. Conditions in Buffalo tomorrow won’t be much better. The weather is bound to have an affect on both of those NFL wild card games.
