Ovechkin Nears Historic Milestone

Alex Ovechkin inched closer to making history with his 890th career goal, putting him just five goals away from surpassing Wayne Gretzky’s all-time NHL record. Despite his impressive performance, which included two assists, the Washington Capitals fell short in an 8-5 loss to the Buffalo Sabres. Ovechkin will continue his pursuit on Tuesday against the Boston Bruins, with nine games remaining in the regular season.

Pittsburgh secured a 1-0 overtime win against Ottawa, thanks to a power-play goal by Sidney Crosby. Utah Hockey Club Dominates Blackhawks

Utah bounced back from a three-game skid with a 5-2 win against Chicago. Mikhail Sergachev and Alexander Kerfoot scored 31 seconds apart in the second period, shifting momentum in Utah’s favor. Logan Cooley, Kailer Yamamoto, and Nick DeSimone also contributed goals.

For Chicago, Joe Veleno and Ryan Donato managed to get on the scoreboard, but the team struggled overall, losing 10 of their last 11 games. Arvid Soderblom made 26 saves, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide.

Canadiens Stay in Playoff Hunt with Win Over Panthers
