Alex Ovechkin’s 885th career goal – now nine shy of Wayne Gretzky’s all-time record – helped Washington earn a season sweep of New York. Ovechkin’s power-play tally midway through the third tied it at 2-2, and Tom Wilson bagged the winner 53 seconds into overtime. Pierre-Luc Dubois scored the other Capitals goal, while Igor Shesterkin turned aside 23 shots for the Rangers, who fell short of their first three-game win streak since mid-November.
Blues 3, Kings 2 (SO)
Robert Thomas tallied in regulation and provided the shootout winner to lift St. Louis. Jake Neighbours also scored for the Blues, now 6-1-1 in their last eight. Jordan Binnington stopped 21 shots and denied two of three Kings in the shootout. Quinton Byfield and Trevor Moore netted goals for Los Angeles, which has gone 0-3-2 in its past five. Darcy Kuemper made 28 saves.
Senators 4, Blackhawks 3 (OT)
Tim Stutzle’s game-winner at 46 seconds of overtime extended his point streak to 13 games, helping Ottawa outlast Chicago. Stutzle’s marker followed a two-point effort (goal, assist) by Josh Norris, while Drake Batherson and Jake Sanderson each provided two assists. Linus Ullmark recorded 17 saves for the Senators. Ryan Donato, Teuvo Teravainen, and Craig Smith scored for the Blackhawks in defeat.

Golden Knights 5, Maple Leafs 2
Vegas built a 5-0 lead, then cruised to its third straight victory. Tomas Hertl, Jack Eichel, Noah Hanifin, and Tanner Pearson each collected a goal and an assist, with Brett Howden scoring as well. Adin Hill turned away 29 shots. Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner responded for Toronto, with Matthews becoming the third Leaf to reach 100 power-play goals (joining Mats Sundin and Darryl Sittler). Toronto dropped its second consecutive game (0-1-1).
Canucks 3, Ducks 2
Jake DeBrusk, Teddy Blueger, and Carson Soucy each tallied second-period goals to pace Vancouver over visiting Anaheim. Filip Hronek picked up two assists, and Kevin Lankinen made 14 saves before the Canucks staved off a Ducks rally. Sam Colangelo and Brian Dumoulin scored for Anaheim, which lost goaltender John Gibson (lower body) in the second period. Lukas Dostal made 14 saves in relief.
