Jesper Boqvist scored twice, and Sergei Bobrovsky made 26 saves as the Florida Panthers defeated the Utah Hockey Club 4-1 in Salt Lake City. Boqvist logged his third career multigoal game, with two of those performances coming in his last five games. Logan Cooley scored Utah’s lone goal, and Karel Vejmelka stopped 29 of 31 shots in a strong effort. The Utah Hockey Club continued to struggle, falling to 1-5-2 in their last eight games, including 0-3-1 at home, where they have the league’s fewest home points.

Bedard, Mrazek Power Blackhawks Past Avalanche
Connor Bedard scored a goal and added an assist, while Petr Mrazek made 35 saves to lead the Chicago Blackhawks to a 3-1 victory over the Colorado Avalanche. Ilya Mikheyev and Frank Nazar also scored for Chicago, snapping Colorado’s eight-game point streak (7-0-1).
Juuso Parssinen netted an unassisted goal for the Avalanche, and Trent Miner stopped 17 shots in his first NHL start. Miner was called upon after Scott Wedgewood was placed on injured reserve with a lower-body injury.
Dubois’ Overtime Winner Lifts Capitals Over Canucks
Pierre-Luc Dubois scored twice, including the game-winning goal with 41 seconds left in overtime, as the Washington Capitals edged the Vancouver Canucks 2-1. Logan Thompson made 30 saves for Washington, which has alternated wins and losses over its last eight games.
Conor Garland scored Vancouver’s only goal, assisted by Quinn Hughes and Kiefer Sherwood. Kevin Lankinen stopped 16 of 18 shots, but the Canucks dropped their third consecutive game (0-1-2) and have won just one of their last six (1-2-3).

Flames-Kings Game Postponed Due to Wildfires
The NHL postponed the scheduled matchup between the Calgary Flames and Los Angeles Kings in Southern California due to wildfires affecting the region. A rescheduled date has not yet been announced.
