Mikko Rantanen delivered a hat trick and two assists, leading the Colorado Avalanche to a 6-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Nathan MacKinnon added a goal and four assists, while Scott Wedgewood stopped 25 shots for Colorado, which has won three straight games and four of its last five.

Cody Glass and Michael Bunting scored for Pittsburgh, while Tristan Jarry made 21 saves in the loss. Rantanen sealed his hat trick with an empty-net goal at 15:08 of the third period.

Aleksander Barkov scored in regulation and added a shootout tally to help the Florida Panthers defeat the Seattle Kraken 2-1. Sam Reinhart also scored in the shootout for Florida, extending the Panthers’ points streak to seven games (6-0-1).

Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor each recorded three-point nights as the Winnipeg Jets routed the Boston Bruins 8-1. Scheifele scored twice, tying Ilya Kovalchuk for the franchise record for multi-goal games (46).

Connor Hellebuyck made 23 saves for his league-leading 18th win. David Pastrnak scored Boston’s lone goal as the Bruins’ four-game win streak came to an end.
