Brayden Schenn scored the game-winning goal with just over two minutes left in overtime to give the Blues a victory in Boston. Colton Parayko set up Schenn, whose wrist shot beat Joonas Korpisalo. Radek Faksa contributed a goal and an assist, while Nathan Walker and Alexey Toropchenko added scoring support for St. Louis.

Trent Frederic scored both goals for the Bruins, playing against his hometown team.

Florida Panthers 5, Winnipeg Jets 0

Sergei Bobrovsky posted his first shutout of the season with 27 saves, helping the Panthers hand the Jets their second consecutive loss. Aleksander Barkov and Sam Reinhart each tallied three points, with Barkov scoring a short-handed goal.

Connor Hellebuyck made 26 saves for Winnipeg, which started the season 15-1-0 but has now dropped two straight games.


Carolina Hurricanes 4, Ottawa Senators 0

Journeyman goaltender Spencer Martin earned his first career shutout with 24 saves as Carolina dominated Ottawa. Jordan Martinook scored the opening goal from behind the net, banking it off Senators goalie Anton Forsberg.

Brady Tkachuk and Shane Pinto came close for the Senators, but Martin made crucial stops to secure the win.


Dallas Stars 2, Minnesota Wild 1

Mason Marchment scored twice, including the game-winner, to propel the Stars to victory in Minnesota. Goaltender Jake Oettinger made 22 saves in his home state, helping Dallas extend its win streak to three games.

Kirill Kaprizov netted the lone goal for the Wild, while Filip Gustavsson stopped 38 shots in the loss.


Tampa Bay Lightning 4, New Jersey Devils 0

Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped all 29 shots he faced for his second shutout of the season as the Lightning defeated the Devils in Tampa. Nick Paul, Darren Raddysh, Victor Hedman, and Anthony Cirelli scored for Tampa Bay.

The Devils, who had swept two games against Florida earlier in the week, couldn’t solve Vasilevskiy and suffered their first loss in three games.


Seattle Kraken 3, New York Islanders 2

Jamie Oleksiak scored the go-ahead goal late in the third period, lifting the Kraken to a win over the Islanders. Yanni Gourde and Jared McCann also scored for Seattle, which is now 4-0-0 on its homestand.

Pierre Engvall and Brock Nelson scored for the Islanders, who saw their five-game point streak come to an end.

Montreal Canadiens 5, Columbus Blue Jackets 1

Mike Matheson had a goal and an assist, and Sam Montembeault made 25 saves as the Canadiens cruised past the Blue Jackets.

Dante Fabbro scored Columbus’ only goal, as the Blue Jackets lost for the seventh time in eight games.


Toronto Maple Leafs 4, Edmonton Oilers 3 (OT)

Mitch Marner netted his 200th career goal just 40 seconds into overtime, giving Toronto a thrilling win over Edmonton. Bobby McMann scored twice, while Matthew Knies added another for the Leafs.

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl had a goal and an assist each for the Oilers, who saw their three-game win streak snapped.


Philadelphia Flyers 5, Buffalo Sabres 2

Travis Konecny scored twice and added an assist as Philadelphia extended its point streak to five games. Egor Zamula and Travis Sanheim also contributed a goal and an assist each for the Flyers.

Rasmus Dahlin and Ryan McLeod scored for Buffalo, which struggled after winning four of its previous five games.


Pittsburgh Penguins 4, San Jose Sharks 3 (SO)

Evgeni Malkin scored the decisive goal in the fifth round of the shootout as Pittsburgh outlasted San Jose. Sidney Crosby scored his 599th career goal, leaving him one shy of becoming the second active player to reach 600.

Tyler Toffoli scored twice for the Sharks, who overcame a 3-0 deficit but ultimately fell short.


Los Angeles Kings 4, Detroit Red Wings 1

Adrian Kempe scored twice, and David Rittich nearly secured a shutout as the Kings handled Detroit at home. Mikey Anderson and Tanner Jeannot also scored for Los Angeles, while Dylan Larkin spoiled Rittich’s shutout bid with a late goal.

Cam Talbot made 37 saves for Detroit in the loss.

Vancouver Canucks 4, Chicago Blackhawks 1

Erik Brannstrom broke a tie in the third period, and Vancouver earned its ninth consecutive victory over Chicago. Elias Pettersson, J.T. Miller, and Teddy Blueger also scored for the Canucks, who continued their dominance of the Blackhawks.

Ilya Mikheyev scored Chicago’s only goal as they dropped four of their past five games.
