Robert Thomas scored the game-winning power-play goal 2:12 into overtime as the St. Louis Blues edged the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-4 to tie a franchise record with their 11th consecutive victory. Thomas also tallied an assist, while Jake Neighbours scored twice and Jordan Kyrou added a goal and an assist. Joel Hofer made 24 saves to notch his fifth straight win in net.
Pittsburgh’s Rutger McGroarty netted his first career goal to tie it with 25 seconds left in regulation. Bryan Rust and Rickard Rakell each had a goal and an assist, and Sidney Crosby extended his point streak to 11 games with his 55th assist. Tristan Jarry made 14 saves in the loss.

Coleman’s Special-Teams Effort Lifts Flames Over Ducks
Blake Coleman scored once shorthanded and once on the power play as the Calgary Flames defeated the Anaheim Ducks 4-1 to stay alive in the playoff hunt. Nazem Kadri and Kevin Rooney also scored, and Dustin Wolf made 26 saves. Calgary trails the Minnesota Wild by five points for the final Western Conference wild-card spot with seven games remaining.
Olen Zellweger scored the lone goal for the Ducks, who were eliminated from playoff contention. John Gibson exited after two periods with a lower-body injury.
Oilers Edge Sharks, But Draisaitl Exits Early
Jeff Skinner recorded a goal and an assist and Evan Bouchard dished out two helpers as the Edmonton Oilers earned a 3-2 road win over the San Jose Sharks. Calvin Pickard made 27 saves as the Oilers won their third straight. Leon Draisaitl, the NHL’s goal-scoring leader, left the game in the second period with an undisclosed injury.
Tyler Toffoli and Jack Thompson scored for San Jose. Georgi Romanov made 35 saves in an emergency start.
Stars Dominate Third Period to Down Predators
Dallas erupted for four goals in the third period to beat the Nashville Predators 5-1 and extend its winning streak to seven games. Mason Marchment had a goal and an assist, and Jake Oettinger made 28 saves. Jason Robertson, Matt Duchene and Mikko Rantanen each had two assists. Jamie Benn missed the game with a lower-body injury, ending his 371-game streak.
Steven Stamkos scored for the slumping Predators, who have lost five straight.
Canadiens Snap Bruins’ Streak with Convincing Win
Montreal got goals from Brendan Gallagher, Nick Suzuki, Christian Dvorak and Cole Caufield to secure a 4-1 win over the Boston Bruins. Sam Montembeault made 18 saves, including eight in the third, as the Canadiens earned their third straight win and just their second in their last 17 meetings with Boston.
Elias Lindholm scored the lone goal for the Bruins, who extended their winless streak to 10 games.

Avalanche Clinch Playoff Berth with Rout of Blue Jackets
Colorado clinched a postseason spot behind goals from seven different players in a 7-3 road win over Columbus. Nathan MacKinnon, Devon Toews, Cale Makar and Charlie Coyle each had a goal and two assists, while Mackenzie Blackwood made 27 saves.
The Blue Jackets got goals from Sean Monahan, Zach Aston-Reese and Boone Jenner, but goaltender Elvis Merzlikins was pulled after allowing seven goals on 28 shots.
Comrie Blanks Golden Knights as Jets Tie Win Record
Eric Comrie stopped all 26 shots he faced for his second shutout of the season, helping the Winnipeg Jets tie a franchise record with their 52nd win, a 4-0 triumph over the Vegas Golden Knights. Mark Scheifele, Adam Lowry, Colin Miller and Cole Perfetti all scored, while Nino Niederreiter added two assists.
Adin Hill was pulled after two periods and replaced by Akira Schmid, combining for 20 saves for Vegas, which dropped its second straight.
Kings Use Quick Strike to Hold Off Utah
Kevin Fiala and Trevor Moore scored 44 seconds apart in the third period to lift the Los Angeles Kings to a 4-2 win over Utah Hockey Club. Drew Doughty added a goal and an assist, and Darcy Kuemper stopped 28 shots for Los Angeles, which has won three straight.
Jack McBain and Lawson Crouse scored for Utah. Karel Vejmelka made 15 saves in his 19th consecutive start.
