Hellebuyck Shines as Jets Blank Predators

Connor Hellebuyck delivered his NHL-leading fifth shutout of the season, stopping 22 shots to help the Winnipeg Jets secure a 3-0 victory over the Nashville Predators on Monday night. Winnipeg sits atop the league standings with 27 wins and 55 points, extending its winning streak to four games.

Gabriel Vilardi scored two late power-play goals just 1:02 apart in the third period, while defenseman Dylan DeMelo broke the scoreless tie with his first goal of the season late in the second. Nikolaj Ehlers and Kyle Connor each tallied two assists in the win.

For Nashville, Juuse Saros turned away 25 shots in the loss, as the Predators dropped their second straight following a promising 3-0-1 stretch.

Panthers Down Rangers Behind Boqvist’s Brace

Jesper Boqvist scored twice as the Florida Panthers defeated the struggling New York Rangers 5-3 in Sunrise, Fla. The Panthers rebounded emphatically after being shut out in their previous two games.

Eetu Luostarinen, Mackie Samoskevich, and Aleksander Barkov added goals for Florida, with Sergei Bobrovsky making 33 saves to seal the victory.

The Rangers’ goals came from Filip Chytil, Ryan Lindgren, and Chris Kreider, the latter breaking the team’s 0-for-25 drought on the power play. Igor Shesterkin stopped 21 shots for New York, which has now lost seven of its last eight outings.

Kraken Dominate Utah Behind Schwartz’s Big Night

Jaden Schwartz notched a goal and two assists to lead the Seattle Kraken to a 5-2 victory over the visiting Utah Hockey Club. Seattle has now won two straight games following a five-game losing streak.

Seattle also saw goals from Yanni Gourde, Andre Burakovsky, Matty Beniers, and Jared McCann, with Kaapo Kakko contributing two assists. Goalie Philipp Grubauer made 28 saves for the Kraken.

For Utah, Logan Cooley and Alexander Kerfoot scored, but the team extended its losing streak to four games (0-3-1). Goalie Karel Vejmelka stopped 28 of 32 shots in the loss.
