Charlie Lindgren turned aside 24 shots to help the Washington Capitals end a two-game losing streak with a victory over the Carolina Hurricanes. Goals from Aliaksei Protas, Jakub Vrana, and Connor McMichael fueled Washington’s offense.
Seth Jarvis provided the lone goal for Carolina, while Pyotr Kochetkov made 19 saves. The Capitals remain a top contender in the Metropolitan Division.

Dylan Guenther’s two goals lifted the Utah Hockey Club to a victory over the Minnesota Wild, extending Utah’s winning streak to a season-high four games. Goalie Karel Vejmelka was solid, stopping 28 of 29 shots.
Mats Zuccarello scored for Minnesota, which has lost three straight and five of its last seven. Marc-Andre Fleury allowed two goals on 18 shots in the defeat.
