Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck made 32 saves, extending his franchise shutout streak to 191:45 minutes. Alex Iafallo and Vladislav Namestnikov each registered a goal and an assist, while Rasmus Kupari and Nikolaj Ehlers also scored. Jake Oettinger, Dallas’ goalie, was pulled after allowing four goals on 15 shots.

Avalanche 6, Hurricanes 4 – Colorado Snaps Carolina’s Win Streak

In a high-scoring game, the Colorado Avalanche snapped the Carolina Hurricanes’ eight-game winning streak with a 6-4 win in Denver. Nathan MacKinnon and Artturi Lehkonen scored within 53 seconds during a pivotal second period, with MacKinnon adding three assists. Jack Hughes scored his second goal of the game in overtime, lifting the New Jersey Devils to a 4-3 comeback win over the New York Islanders. The Devils overcame a two-goal deficit in the third, with Dawson Mercer and Stefan Noesen tying the score late. The Islanders’ goals came from Simon Holmstrom, Dennis Cholowski, and Brock Nelson.

Sabres 3, Flames 2 (SO) – Luukkonen Shuts Down Calgary in Shootout

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped all three Calgary shootout attempts as the Buffalo Sabres edged the Flames 3-2. Zach Benson and Tage Thompson scored in regulation for Buffalo, marking the team’s third consecutive win. Calgary’s goals came from Matt Coronato and Mikael Backlund.

Goalie Joseph Woll made 20 saves as Toronto won its third consecutive game. Brendan Gallagher scored the lone goal for Montreal, who suffered its sixth straight loss.


Capitals 8, Blues 1 – Ovechkin Powers Washington with Two Goals

Alex Ovechkin scored twice, extending his career goal total to 863, as the Washington Capitals crushed the St. Louis Blues 8-1. Connor McMichael also scored twice for Washington, which has won 10 of its last 14 games. The Blues’ only goal came from Scott Perunovich in a tough loss.


Rangers 4, Red Wings 0 – Quick’s Shutout Completes Season Sweep

Jonathan Quick earned his 61st career shutout as the New York Rangers blanked the Detroit Red Wings 4-0. Artemi Panarin scored and added an assist, helping New York to complete a three-game season sweep of Detroit. Ville Husso made 20 saves for the Red Wings, who struggled against a dominant Rangers defense.


Predators 4, Utah Hockey Club 0 – Forsberg Shines as Nashville Snaps Skid

Filip Forsberg scored twice as the Nashville Predators snapped a three-game losing streak by shutting out the Utah Hockey Club 4-0. Juuse Saros made 26 saves for his 25th career shutout, while Jonathan Marchessault and Gustav Nyquist also contributed goals. Utah’s goaltender Connor Ingram made 17 saves in a tough outing for the struggling expansion team.

Kings 5, Blue Jackets 2 – Balanced Scoring Leads LA Over Columbus

The Los Angeles Kings defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 5-2 with contributions from five different goal-scorers. Warren Foegele led with a goal and an assist, as 11 Kings players recorded points in the victory. Columbus’s Dmitri Voronkov and Ivan Provorov scored, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a balanced LA attack.
