The Los Angeles Kings put on an offensive clinic, defeating the visiting Carolina Hurricanes 7-2 on Saturday afternoon. The win snapped Carolina’s eight-game winning streak while giving the Kings their seventh win in their last eight contests.
All-Round Performance from Kings
Andrei Kuzmenko, Anze Kopitar, Tanner Jeannot, Quinton Byfield, and Kevin Fiala each recorded a goal and an assist. Adrian Kempe and Trevor Moore also scored, while David Rittich made 34 saves. Impressively, all 12 Kings forwards registered at least one point — a feat only achieved once before in franchise history.
Dmitry Orlov and Mark Jankowski scored for the Hurricanes, but Pyotr Kochetkov struggled between the pipes, allowing six goals on 23 shots.

Avalanche Edge Canadiens in Shootout
The Colorado Avalanche survived a wild game, beating the Montreal Canadiens 5-4 in a shootout after giving up a three-goal lead in the third period. Brock Nelson scored the decisive goal in the fourth round of the shootout.
Sam Malinski, Ryan Lindgren, and Martin Necas also found the back of the net for Colorado, while Montreal’s rally was led by Joshua Roy, Juraj Slafkovsky (two goals), and Christian Dvorak.
Flames Burn Islanders in OT Thriller
Nazem Kadri scored the game-winner in overtime, lifting the Calgary Flames to a 4-3 victory over the New York Islanders. Jonathan Huberdeau had a goal and two assists, while Matt Coronato added two goals for Calgary.
The Islanders thought they secured the win when Kyle MacLean scored late in the third, but Huberdeau equalized just 29 seconds later.

Jonny Brodzinski’s two-goal performance powered the New York Rangers to a 5-3 victory over the Vancouver Canucks, snapping a five-game home losing streak. J.T. Miller also broke a goalless drought, while K’Andre Miller and Adam Fox rounded out the scoring.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored a hat trick as the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Seattle Kraken 5-4. Despite missing stars Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid, Edmonton’s offense delivered.
Kaapo Kakko scored twice for Seattle, but goaltender Joey Daccord allowed five goals on 29 shots, handing the Kraken their second consecutive loss.
Capitals Surge Past Panthers
The Washington Capitals scored three second-period goals to break a tie and defeat the Florida Panthers 6-3. Tom Wilson, Dylan Strome, and Andrew Mangiapane led the surge, while Alex Ovechkin contributed two assists, remaining seven goals shy of Wayne Gretzky’s record.
Blues Dominate Blackhawks to Continue Streak
Alexey Toropchenko and Nathan Walker both recorded a goal and an assist, leading the St. Louis Blues to a 4-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks. St. Louis has now won five consecutive games.
