William Karlsson’s two late goals, including the game-winner with 1:18 left, powered the Vegas Golden Knights past Utah in Salt Lake City. Karlsson also added an empty-netter to cap a three-point night.

Vegas rallied with four unanswered goals after trailing 2-0, supported by Tomas Hertl’s two power-play strikes. Jack Eichel added two assists, tying for second in the NHL with 22 assists, while Adin Hill made 32 saves. Utah’s goals came from Logan Cooley and Mikhail Sergachev, with Karel Vejmelka stopping 25 shots.

Capitals 5, Avalanche 2

Connor McMichael scored twice to lead Washington to a commanding road win over Colorado, ending the Avalanche’s three-game streak. Jakub Vrana and Jakob Chychrun also contributed goals. Charlie Lindgren made 17 saves, while Alex Ovechkin remained goalless, still 31 behind Wayne Gretzky’s all-time record.

Colorado’s Parker Kelly had a goal and assist, but goaltender Justus Annunen was pulled after allowing three goals on six shots.

Blue Jackets 6, Penguins 2

Columbus snapped a six-game losing streak with a dominant performance over Pittsburgh. Zach Werenski and Dmitri Voronkov each had a goal and assist, while Sean Monahan notched two assists.

Pittsburgh’s offense was led by Anthony Beauvillier, who scored for the third straight game, but the team continued to slump with their fourth loss in six games.

Cutter Gauthier’s first NHL goal highlighted Anaheim’s comeback victory over Detroit. Owen Zellweger added a goal and two assists, while Trevor Zegras and Troy Terry chipped in offensively.

Detroit’s Marco Kasper scored his first NHL goal and added an assist, but the team squandered a 3-1 lead and fell short despite strong efforts from Alex DeBrincat and Lucas Raymond.
